Through all of the frenzied debate of the past week, the basic content of the 60 MINUTES Wednesday report - that President Bush received preferential treatment to gain entrance to the Texas Air National Guard and that he may not have fulfilled all of the requirements -- has not been substantially challenged.

Maybe that's because the allegation has not been substantially proven.

Still has not allowed anyone except the 'experts' they shopped for, to look at the actual docs in their possesson.

The documents could be true in content but unauthentic from the standpoint that they are not the original documents and have been reproduced.

I look at the "experts" they cited and every one of them has either backed off(Matley) or been discredited or said CBS portrayed what they did incorrectly.

...but doesn't mention the make and model of such typewriters. Neither does CBS make ANY attempt to find out what sort of typewriters WERE ACTUALLY IN USE at that TexANG unit in 1972-3.

Didn't Matley backtrack and say he's only authenticating ONE of the SIGNATURES?
