Was I hallucinating or did BOR tease an appearance by Rather on tonight's Factor?
O'Reilly was dreaming. O'Reilly lamented tonight that his ratings were not what they were. He thinks his ratings could improve by getting Rather who cannot outdraw Simpson reruns in NYC not a place opposed to Rather's political sympathies. O'Reilly worst nightmare would be to interview Rather, because he would have to make assurances to Rather in advance. A softball interview with Rather would decimate his audience. Paula Zahn put on the kneepads for an interview with Roger Clinton when she was on Fox. She did not stay at Fox long after that.
O'Reilly has been pushing his journalism credentials ever since Al Franken called him on the Peabody Award claims. Brokaw and Rather will both be gone soon. One of those jobs will likely go to Tim Russert. I think Bill has his eyes on an anchor job. It's an ego thing.
I'm with you. Ann Coulter is way too skinny for my taste. Laura Ingraham looks about right, plus she seems to have a "really neat personality"...
