I believe Burkett was an Army guard guy not an AF guard guy, hence he used Army lingo in place of AF lingo.

They are only pushing their defense of discrediting Bush.

Gary Killian sounds like a calm, pragmatic good old boy.

When Sean interviewed him tonite, Sean excitedly said and your father loved Bush, and Gary replied,

"love might be a little strong."

Hilarious.

I hope that the old biddy antagonized Gary enough that he will become even more visible and out her.

I didn't see it, of course, but I got the impression she was also dismissive of Mrs. Killian.

I hope the family is really ticked!

Burkett lives in Baird, 20 mi east of Abilene. Not originally from here, I don't think.

I am not the official burner, but I can direct you to her. (lol) don't worry, you'll be safe her as long as you're not a troll.

"love might be a little strong."

That really was funny.

Not to mention the fact that he set the record straight -- he didn't want to exaggerate the facts.

Don't be afraid, there's always someone out there who might jump on what you said.

But we were all newbies once. Welcome to FR!

Just having watched 60 Minutes II tonight, it appears now Rather's credible source is now Killian's secretary of all people who even discredited Killian's son by saying in effect "he wasn't there at the time", and Rather is still not backing down. According to Rather's ending statement after his 60 Minutes II report tonight, he's sane and the critics are kooks. Dan Rather then suggested that everyone look into the heart of the story, and not how/why CBS is biased. According to Rather, the reason this story is out there is because George Bush got preferential treatment getting in and while in the NG. (That part made no sense to me no matter how I look at it).

It would raise anyone's eyebrows if Bush had gotten preferential treatment to stay out of the NG, not trying to get into the NG. This whole facade perpetrated by Dan Rather's fixation to stain George W. Bush's presidency while boosting his own ego is absolutely, without a shred of doubt, beyond BIZARRE. Dan is truly living in that alternate universe we've all found that dingbat kook Liberals live in.

One of the most sickening displays of partisan media hacks, Dan Rather was sitting in his chair like a giddy schoolboy, repeating any statement by Killian's secretary that impugned President Bush, turning it back to her into a question. He's not interested in getting to the bottom of this, he's only interested in his own ego, and putting his partisanship on full fledge display while destroying President Bush.

I literally felt like barfing and sticking my boot into the TV when Rather said "if we find any evidence to the contrary, rest assured we'll tell you about it".

Yeah, she isn't an official surrogate, but her appearing right now couldn't be worse timing for Lurch.

You can't and military physicals are just like classified material, a need to know, or only needed if being used.
I think many pilots need to stand up to this confused and demented woman who has some memory but is saying 'that is how it was'...when actually she remembers the scuttlebutt in office, not necessary what Killian thought.

"We shall redouble our efforts" could not help but remind me a little scarily , of the definition of what a ZEALOT is that I read years ago: "A zealot is someone who redoubles his efforts once he loses sight of his goal."
--Pretty good description of Democrats since the dawn of Clintonism 12 years ago.

"if we find any evidence to the contrary, rest assured we'll tell you about it".

I think the only time I burst out laughing so loudly and spontaneously was when Bo Derek in Tarzan the Ape Man told her father (who had a huge elephant tusk stuck in his upper abdomen and who was saying he was going to die), "I don't want to hear that kind of talk."
