Loewe's, here I come!

Unfortunately, other posts on this thread seem to show Lowe's as a sponsor, too.

Over time, the lack of desired response should make it obvious that fewer people are watching.

The problem is the "over time." As time passes, the cause and effect becomes obscured to the advertiser.

If we don't want CBS to be successful in trying to wait out their opposition -- and old tactic of theirs and Rather's -- decisive action is needed now.

Please! lets be fair and do not blame the affilitates for the sins of the parent. Make sure that what you list is a National ad not a local ad.

Sorry. If my local affiliate runs local ads supporting this trash, they don't get a pass.

Local affiliates need to understand that they are going to lose local ad revenue if they don't howl to the network.

CBS needs to hear from the affiliates, and although we don't need to hold the affiliates personally responsible, they need to know that the local advertisers are going to be losing our business, and that they will be losing advertisers. We should be polite, sorrowful, and firm.

Let's talk very serious here about the boycott issue. Boycotts can help reclaim our nation IF:

They are spread far and wide by all conservative groups. They are consistent and persistent. Once started, we should continue boycotting FOREVER until change is made.

Contrary to any doubters, the power of money talking rises above all else.

We should make a list of advertisers, spread that list to as many threads as possible, spread that list to other conservative outlets, and ask all members to swear to boycott these advertisers until they stop their suppport for anti-American activities.

Boycotts can't last for one week to be effective. These boycotts must be started and we should continue to ask for support on an ongoing basis.

QUESTION? How many of you swore you would boycott Toyota for caving in to Jesse Jackson's blackmail four or five years ago? How many of you purchased a Toyota since then? How often have you reminded Toyota that you are continuing to boycott them for the Jesse Jackson blackmail?

If we all kept spreading that word and if we would have boycotted Toyota, not only would Toyota never again consider doing that but many other companies would have become fearful of boycotts as the effectiveness became known. Today, a threat of a boycott against CBS advertisers would be taken very seriously if we would have done a REAL boycott against Toyota.

All it takes is a few successful boycotts to shake up the entire corporate culture about their advertising for anti-American activities.

Start a boycott, spread the word, keep pounding the issue for months and years to our base, keep reminding the advertisers that you are continuing to boycott them and you will change the course of American politics.

Suggestion:

We need to get a special section on Free Republic that is a permenent link on the home page to BOYCOTTS. We need the ability of every member to quicky click a URL to see what vendors should be boycotted with a brief summary of why. Boycotts are only effective if they are ongoing.

Let's make this a rally center for ALL conservative groups to come to Free Republic as a source for "BOYCOTT CENTRAL".

This could be huge if we did this. National boycotts could reach a critical mass that could cause a major change in American politics if advertisers were fearful of supporting anti-American activities.

Letters sent.

On a side note I sent the President of C-bs a nice letter thanking him for his support for Mr. Bush, pointing out that the longer they keep this story going the more the public focused on Kerry/DNC/C-bs/ lies the larger Mr. Bush's lead in swing states grew.

Ture, and good going. But again, writing (or visiting) your local SEE BS affilitate may gain more traction than writing to the big cheese at SEE BS headquarters. Your local affiliate WILL see your letter or hear you speak. The bigwigs at SEE BS only know rough amounts of mail, and they blame the mail on "Republican operative".

My family thanks you for your service to our nation.
