I wonder if Dan asked her if she had an IBM Selectric Composer at the TANG????
Next, how did Rather interview her? Did he fly to TX, if so when (in between newscasts?) or did CBS pay for this woman to fly to New York? In old days.... CBS never paid for interviews or expenses...

I can't be the only one who rememembers Connie Chung, Newt Gingrich's mom and the phrase "just between you and me."

...wondering if RATher's gonna try the old connie chung trick..ya know..after a couple of hours of small talk..
lean in close to her and whisper "just between you and me" what do you think of Bush?
..remember thats what she (chung) did..to Gingrich's 68 year old mom...for an interview on guess what? CBS.
CBS used the word *itch for days afterwords..so much glee, in fact their ratings fell through the floor...people didn't think it was fair to take advantage of a senior.
their in trouble again
oh by the way...connie chung was hung out to dry shortly afterwords

Are there any quotes by Dan Rather and CBS about Clinton's non-service and draft-dodging? Somthing along the lines of: "old news" and "who cares anyway?"

No doubt she also said that Hoover took us into the Depression and Roosevelt got us out, right before she said that President Bush was selected not elected.
I know the type and talking to them is a total waste of time.

Well.....now we know why the "big announcement" didn't happen this morning, or at noon, or at 3:30, or at 5:00.
HOWEVER, there is that little thing that Dan Rather said in that interview TODAY in the New York Observer....remember, that little thing about him and Mary Mapes "working on this story for five years" and spending years working on the person who had the now-discredited documents in order to get them? So we are now supposed to believe that Rather and Mapes worked this story for FIVE YEARS, but only TODAY managed an interview with the single person most likely to know whether Jerry Killian had a private file and what might have been in that file???
Do they think ANYONE is going to believe this???

Using CBS logic, someone can write a memorandum that details how Rather and CBS are really spies for Fidel Castro, and that several folks who worked for Rather 30 years ago confirm the "content" of the memorandum.
So, Dan, can you tell the American People why you were a Castro spy?
Yep, the left is melting.

So It's down to this. This eyewitness said the documents were fakes and she would have been the only person on this earth that would have written Killian's memo's. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT. She knows what her boss "felt" about President Bush but has no documentary evidence to back her assumptions. (She believes that President Bush was selected rather that elected). Now if the documents were proved to be fakes by the only person on earth that knows for sure. How can CBS still maintain that President Bush did anything wrong. Logic has no place at CBS.

We are witnessing a melt down. Blather may end up in a rubber room by the end of the week. He's going down.

Rather is pathetic. Reminds me of Clinton trying to save his legacy. Clinton will always be remembered for Monicagate and Rather for Memogate. They should have lots to talk about in their retirement.
