Don't know if anyone else saw it, but I was stunned at the tone of the conversation. Everyone was resigned to the notion that Bush would win easily. I saw a completely different Chris Matthews from the blowhard on "Hardball". I think he realized that O'Donnell, Page, and Roberts couldn't be played with like pundits or politicians.
The transcripts are not available on his site yet, so I'm going from memory, but it was a spectacle of Dem defeatism (I think Maria B. is a repub.)

Yes. I did see it and I was as stuned by it as you.
They were really putting Kerry down, and even Kokie seemed to think that Kerry dropped the ball by not being more 'positive' and explanatory in his campaign.
Matthews was just beside himself because he found himself in the position of having to agree with them.
Truely stunning.

I saw it too and was pleasantly surprised by the pro Bush sentiment. But my joy was short lived because after the break Chrissy came back and did a hachet job on BUSH. Little Chrissy is going to go into a complete meltdown when BUSH wins in a landslide.

Your observation is spot on. Maria was very upbeat on Bush. The odd part is that Clarence Page seemed so also. Matthews was stunned into silence.
By the way, I think Bush is a traitor and plans on giving the U.S. wholesale to Mexico. Nonetheless, one must recognize a likely fact...the election outcome, when one sees it.

It's okay. No one listens to or watches FPL anymore. After bullying a small woman and getting verbally ripped in two by someone twice his age, how could anyone watch FPL? He doesn't even have entertainment value.

Another encouraging thing about that show was that Cokie Roberts said that the real battleground this election will be for White Catholics. She then added that, at this point, they had left the Kerry camp.
Chrissy and the panel got very somber at the news.

Is 12% considered a landslide?

A different Chris Matthews? He must be using that block for an audition tape for Fox News. After all, where else will he go after his own network is flushed down the tubes?

When it is converted into electoral votes, it can be. Mayhap the owner of the vessel the Scaramouche will acquire the votes of his home state and no more.

55% or over is considered a landslide. Thus, in a two-way race, a 10% margin is a landslide.
