Is there a tracking beacon on this thing?

Or self detonation device to blow it up?

This is why I love FreeRepublic.com, even though I am a couple hours late to this thread I noticed the WW2 markings right off and I was just going through all the posts to see if anyone else picked up on this. Way to go eagle eye.

They're so proud of themselves, they're all wearing masks. Sniveling cowards. Losers.

Oh yeah now I see the stripe in the middle but it looks white to me. Now that I think about it does anyone else think that those look like parts from an AGM-86 ACLM cruise missle?

they are such cowards to wear maskes....if they truly believe in what they believe in, why do they cover their faces?

The statement hailed Sunday's offensive as a “blessed battle'' that “humiliated the infidels.''
Sounds like "Bagdad Bob" is back on the job!

Even if this is true it won't do much for their safety.

Watch for a suppression of the press around Fallujah (maybe after the election) and these jokers will have more to worry about than a model airplane.

Actually, one U.S. plan might be to send cheapo drones (stripped of hi-tech hardware) flying overhead, designed to be difficult, but not impossible, to shoot down.

When the drones are shot down (maybe a couple a week) they remain easily detectable at a range of 2-5 miles because of selective radioactive materials (secretly) embedded in the wings and fusealge (sp).

Of course, every Ben Sadr cell leader wants his personal "U.S. Flying Drone" trophy hanging on his mud-hut wall.

The end result is that these previously hidden locations are easily identifiable and trackable by hi-tech U.S. forces.

Dittos, in fact, for ammunition (etc) from "destroyed" vehicles, that's subsequently taken to Ben Sadr covert ammo dumps and logistical sites.

Well ... just a thought.

Might this be it???

Boeing ScanEagle UAV

ScanEagle is a low-cost, long-endurance UAV developed and built by Boeing and The Insitu Group. Able to loiter over trouble spots for 15+ hours, ScanEagle vehicles can provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data or communications relay support. As standard payload ScanEagle carries either an inertially stabilized electro-optical or infrared camera. The UAV is four-feet long and has a 10-foot wingspan.

AgitProp has to find their side's victories where they can.

I had Dan Ratherstupid's CommieBS News on this evening to hear his mea culpa about the forged Air Guard memos. It never came; he still stands by the long disproven documents.

SeeBS DID air footage of wounded children. Unfortunately this was not footage from the Belsan terrorist attack, that footage is "too" shocking to keep on the air as they kept the Columbine and Abu Ghraib stories on the air for 2 weeks.

Relax, its only a drone

The way they are posed behind it, makes me think they are about to "be-head" it or something.

Folks, there are nine men in that photo... many or all of them may already be dead after today's strike.

Photo cracks me up. Really how proud they are... maybe this is a psyops setup to make them look like total fools.

If you like this stuff, also Google "swarming warfare"... the idea / science of sending tiny little things that act like a swarm of bees against your adversary. Also research SAGEM Sperwer to see one of the latest, powerful UAV implementations.

Some of the casualties were inflicted when a US helicopter fired on a crowd cheering around a disabled US armoured vehicle in Baghdad.

Bingo! Identify your enemy and destroy!

Boeing ScanEagle UAV

I believe you are right.

Also, if equipped with IR camera, may have been a night mission, and it ran out of go juice before it could find its way home.
