Needs to be sent to Rush, Drudge, Fox etc.
Thank you Decatur Daily for actually doing some original research. Something sorely lacking amongst the "Professional" Journalists.
Do you recall who is offering the money?
Sounds like these guys should apply for the money
And as a native of Decatur, I can tell you that the Decatur Daily - editorially speaking - is about as liberal as they come (at least for an Alabama paper).
I agree. This is worth a read by anyone with an interest in "Memogate" and it points out how a newspaper journalist with an ounce of sense can beat the agenda driven morons at CBS by a country mile when it comes finding the truth.
Great post!
Here's another name for your file.
Yall, this is more information that needs to be force fed to the mainstream media. Help me shove it down their throats, and please bump this one good and hard. I'm sickanddamntired of Paul Begala saying "no one saw Bush in Alabama, and neither Bob Novak or Tucker Carlson bothers to correct him.
Did you see Pitkin speak at the demonstration in DC today? It was shown on CSpan and will show again tonight at 2am.
Maybe the guys that knew Bush during his service don't relish being assassinated by the Liberal press. I'd wager any and all that are motivated to come forward, aren't motivated by money. They'd be doing it to set the record straight.
The trouble is, that with this guy, they are out there. The Old media just doesn't want to hear from them. They are suppressing their existence because it serves their purpose.
Chris Matthews show is repeating now, 11:40pm est on abc. Tune in and watch pigs fly. He is Bush-friendly tonight.

Trudeau offers $10K for Bush AWOL Denial
Gary Trudeau, the author of the classic Doonesbury comic strip, has offered $10,000 to anyone who will state that they "personally witnessed George W. Bush reporting for drills at Dannelly Air National Guard Base between the months of May and November of 1972."
But you don't get it just for saying you saw him. There has to be some proof. For those of us, however, who didn't see him but are willing to lie Trudeau will donate an "original Doonesbury strip personally signed by a top studio intern" if the story is entertaining enough.
And, as another caveat, the winner doesn't get the cash. Trudeau will give it to the USO to help make the lives of troops serving overseas better.
But don't you want to clear the President's good name and support the troops? Go to the "His teeth were there: Was he?" page now and tell your story!
Ah... the VRWC smear... the Dims seem to love that one... although it's evolved now to an amateur member of the VRWC in their pajamas.
Turn over to Discovery and watch "Making the Message: Fight for the Presidency" instead; it's about the DNC and GOP conventions; very interesting.
The Dems had a room where they had 25 people who each had two phones, one connected to a different delegation; they had a guy reading them Kerry's speech and the people with the phones would tell the delegates WHEN TO APPLAUD.
What all did Matthews say?
I think Chrissy will report on the forged memos because, with the possible sell off of the msnbc stuff, Chris will need a job. Covering for Danny boy on this would harm his chances elsewhere.

Great post. It's just keeps getting better and better.
Politically, the Dems are getting killed on credibility comparisons with Bush. So they try to neutralize the advantage by attacking Bush. That was the strategic purpose of all their campaigns to claim Bush lied, first about whether Iraq was an imminent threat, then about yellowcake (Joseph Wilson, remember him?), then about WMD, then about pre-war intelligence generally, now about the National Guard thing. They openly discussed this in a NYT article, I belive published 6/1/03. I'd have to go dig it up, but it shocked me when I read it and it stuck with me. At the time there were democrat candidates who would not go there and counseled against it - guess they lost the argument.
The Democrats' basing their whole campaign on a series of lies calculated to give them strategic advantage, national security be damned, is the true Legacy of the Ozark Caligula.
late night good news
