They actually draw a moral equivalency between JFKerry's treasonous behavior and some nebulous BS about how the President "can't prove" he completed his NG service (umm, can you say 'honorable discharge'?). And they think because the attack on Kerry worked, their attack on Bush will work equally well. Dumbest campaign in my lifetime.

The Drudge headline is misleading. The scoop is that the ad will blast Bush for having campaign literature in his congressional race 20 years ago saying he served in the air force when he only served in the national guard. Still, such an ad would be incredibily stupid. Kerry seems determined to get his numbers down to the point where they are co-extensive with the numbers that hate Bush.
Well, the bogus forged memo thing didn't fly. Get ready folks because now comes the down and dirty filth probably against the First Lady or maybe even the twins. These people are desperate and DANGEROUS!!
They do not have a choice, they are running a campaign without a candidate, and they feel that their best assets are McAuliff and Harkin taking center stage calling Bush a liar. The forgeries put them on the bench for the weekend, so they will trot out a new script. As far as the Democrats are concerned the election is not about electing Kerry but taking down the President which they obsessively hate. Let's face it, no one likes Kerry, the Democrats are totally driven by their hate of Bush and their loathing of all that is America which includes its place as sole superpower, and the economic ideal as the land of opportunity. If it up to the Democrats, we will take a subservient position as one among equals to the members of the EU.

If Kerry attacks Bush'es Guard service, I don't think Bush should dignify this POS with a single debate.
The issue Terry McAuliffe is pushing this time is that Bush said in a congressional race campaign flyer that he had served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard and that Bush is lying about the Air Force.
In reality, Bush was active duty (24-7) for the first two years of his Guard career going to OCS and then flight training (all USAF schools). You don't learn how to fly a fighter plane at weekend drill. After 23 months he joined his active reserve unit.
The problem with this Guard issue is that last week--after careful coordination between the DNC and big media, CBS caused the whole train to wreck. This latest assualt is Part II of a political operation that is disintegrating. The right hand no longer knows what the left is doing.
