I work in Manhattan
I feel your pain. I like to log in when I get into work early and my company won't let me and blocks FR as if it were a porn site. It's a really liberal company and sorry to say French too. FR is considered a chat line
Everyone there hates Bush except for a small few
I try not to discuss politics anymore. They just don't get it!!
Geez I hear ya I get that when I read the post on the train
Wow! What a treasure!
wait a second, you were on long island? I thought you didn't like it out here!
Great article. I have a close relative who lives in the Upper East side of Manhattan. She goes into a panic when she hears planes and helicopters overhead. I ask whether she knows that they are there to protect her, and she just says that they shouldn't be there. Pres. Bush is scaring them.
New Yorkers are brain damaged, I think. Many of them, like my relative, know that attempts to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge and garment district were foiled by gov't action. But they still like the Dem. idea that we shouldn't go to war.
I'm not one who wants to spend the rest of my life with my head under a pillow hoping that no one hurts me, but I think New Yorkers accept that way of life.
Meantime, thanks to all of our military heroes who are making sure that I don't have to live that way.
I have family there. But I do manage to make it out as soon as possible. :)
Yup. Unfortunately we don't wear tie dyed T shirts. We wear Slayer Tees. I'm in the process of moving out of this hell hole, but I had a proud moment on the 4th of July. At around 7am, my son climbed on the roof, and his friends loaded up all the amps and hooked them up. He played the Star Spangled Banner, and from what I understand, people heard him a few blocks away. I yanked the extension cord as he was going into Purple Haze, lol! God I wish I had a camcorder.
Hippies...they're what's for dinner :-D
I wore my RNC Convention shirt in Riverside Park today.
Noone melted as they walked by near me.
My coworkers are an island of sanity, but otherwise I see and deal with much of what the author decribes. All GOP/Conservatives here are just fighting a rearguard action.
Too funny...Check out my profile. Some things haven't changed much around here.
How is New Hampshire treating you? It is very high on my list of retirement/relocation spots.
The voting population of DemcoCRAT primary voters is so far to the left that a candidate practically has to be a Communist to win the DemoCRAT primary.
Nice!
NH is a great place to live and raise a family. We enjoy a high quality of life (meaning really good ethnic food) combined with a relatively sane cost of living. Housing costs are higher than the national average, but only due to our proximity to Massachussetts (where $500,000 buys you a 3-bedroom ranch in a lousy neighborhood). Best of all, the government is virtually invisible, and local (rather than State) politics predominate. Now: please don't tell anyone, and if you must, please steer the Liberals to Vermont.
Because NYC consists of more than just the Leftist Upper West Side. You also got lots of working-class and middle-class folk (I was born in Brooklyn)
re: all the "Bush is evil"/"Bush is like Hitler": to a Leftist, evil is defined as that which impedes the Leftist agenda
