They want to apply the Sharia to all people, not just to Muslims. Its like Christians demanding the the Ten Commandments be the law of the land.
Lightening quick, no remorse, no diplomatic BS, just hammer them and say 10 more are coming, here's what we need: 1, 2, 3 and 4, verified on our terms, etc.

Except Christians were the majority among our Founding Fathers, and their Bill of Rights precludes such a development. Remember, Puritan Anglo-Saxons settled America first. Our Puritanical sentiments have made us stronger, while at the same time being tempered by rationalism. Where is the tempering of Islamic Puritanism? You can't find it anywhere. There's a massive difference between fundamentalism in the west and in the orient. Ours has been transcended by the Enlightenment. I doubt Islam will see any such thing in our lifetimes.
The "theory" is that Canadian criminal law and the Charter of Rights trumps any decision made under Sharia law.
But as 'Feets' points out there are concerns that Muslim women, because of their status under Islam, are not free to give true consent.
Since we all get to choose, I choose Common Law...

Just keep in mind: This is the very same government that recently threw a Christian pastor, Ake Green, into prison for a month for the heinous crime of delivering a sermon that took the biblical position on homosexuality. Instead of establishing the rule of law and taking control of a major city, the Swedish leftists in charge are far more interested in destroying whatever shreds remain of traditional Christianity there.
The majority of Swedes have drunk the Kool-Aid of leftist multiculturalism and are quite willing to go along with all of this. Every election returns the socialist regime to power. Liberalism is destroying the west - literally.
