We don't get headlines about attacks that were stopped. This kind of thing needs a LOT more visibility. I am not a huge Dick Morris fan, but the toe-sucker drilled this one.

Bush's military and intelligence officials got a captive, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, a top bin Laden deputy, to identify the terrorist assigned to blow up the bridge. Acting on the evidence they elicited from interrogations specifically allowed by the policies of the Bush administration, the NYPD closed in and arrested the terrorist, Iyman Faris, before he could act.
Faris' plans for the destruction of the bridge were chillingly detailed and coincided precisely with the findings of engineers employed by the NYPD to determine how one might go about destroying the 120- year-old landmark. If the left had its way, we never would have arrested Mohammed or questioned him without his attorney or held him for any length of time. The information-sharing required by the Patriot Act would not have happened, and the bridge might today be a haunting memory along with the estimated 10,000 people who would have perished in the attack.
The garment district would have been the new ground zero had another al Qaeda plot succeeded.

"How W Saved NYC"

And N.Y.C. will reward him by voting overwhelmingly for Kerry in November. Ya gotta wonder...

My experience is that no good deed goes unpunished.

I like Dick Morris when what he says is not self-aggrandizing. He is on the mark on this one. Cuomo is a viper.

Anybody remember the recent NYC terrorist scare? I was leaving |Brooklyn on that day, and had to drive past the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. It took three hours to drive five miles on the BQE. Every truck was getting an anal exam.

This is a major story - the first detailed account of two
thwarted attacks. Expect this to have legs.

Further, by having it come from a Dem-leaning former
Clinton advisor, relying on NYPD sources, this can't
credibly be denounced as a Bush leak with suspicous
timing.

Of course, since nothing happened, it will be entirely
discounted by the Party whose policy is to wait to be
attacked before taking action.

I dont want us to give up sources and methods (unless we want to that is, if you know what I mean), but this is an untold story that needs to get OUT!

If the guys at Little Green Footballs, Powerline, Instapundit or the other new media bloggers get ahold of this it could get the attention it deserves. The Post is not minor league, but does focus on a regional following. Given the recent attention that the bloggers have got with Rathergate, maybe they could help this find "legs." Hey guys, word up???

When you cede the moral high ground to a toe sucking bloodsucker and then let that TSBS bitch slap you silly, perhaps its time to retire from public life. That means you Mario.

True, but we won't see it on TV any time soon (like before the election's final recount).

" Expect this to have legs."

Not unless it exposes flaws in GWB's ANG career, or, failing that, Abu Grahib.

How in the world could blowing up this bridge kill 10,000 people? I very much doubt that the bridge will even hold this many people.

Often, but not this time.

Interesting that Morris ran a major news story as opinion.
Just the opposite of what the Pravda Press does.

> You wont see it on dnCBS.

I quite agree.
"Not newsworthy" or some such Conspiratorial B.S.

Who says the attack was to be limited to the bridge? Not many details about the weapons involved.

NYC is filled with politically psychotic knee-jerk Liberals and Radical Leftists. Some of us are able to perceive reality. Sometimes it's hard to try to stay afloat in this sea of Leftist insanity.
