Dan Rather was stripped of his Texas citizenship many years ago. The rest of us DO NOT CLAIM him as one of us.

Whoops. This would be strange, since, considering that Lee Harvey Oswald was behind Kennedy at the time of the assassination, it would defy the laws of physics for Kennedy's head to go the direction it did if Oswald was the "lone-nut" gunman.Oh, Geez! Not this sh*t again.

There is something strange in American culture that allows the worst of the crop rise to the top in journalism - well journalistic entertainment.
Well you could sorta add Dick Morris to that mix

To: elbucko
Just view Ollie Stone's JFK again. He trots out every cokamammie theory; proves none. Personally I think Oswald was the lone gunman. Gunmen tend to be lone. But I don't want to debate it.

Some of this was timing. Most of these people are mid to early baby boomers. They are stuck in the 60s-70s period of hate America first. As they finally die off things will probably shift back to match more the temperment of the country which is much more moderate to conservative.

Does this mean that you "Lone Star State" boy's wouldn't mind telling one of your own, CA, State Senator Jack Scott, born Sweewater, Texas, to leave Californians guns alone? I didn't think so.

I accidentally ran across this.
>>Where to begin? Well, for openers, Burkett filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the military records of the famously liberal Dan Rather, anchor of the CBS Evening News. Recalling how Rather spent much of the 1990 campaign beating up on Dan Quayle for beating the Vietnam draft as a member of the National Guard, Burkett gleefully discovered that Rather himself hid out from the Korean War as a member of the Reserves. When he graduated from college in 1954, after the war was safely over, Rather joined the Marines and was discharged as medically unfit after four months. Of course, this doesn't stop Rather from proudly identifying himself as an ex-Marine! Dan Ford<<
This is a book review for "Stolen Valor: How the Vietnam Generation was Robbed of its Heroes and its History"
(B.G. Burkett & Glenna Whitley)
I think this needs a wider dissemination, don't you?

This statement is a load of crap, coming from someone who does not even understand Newton's third law.

think this needs a wider dissemination, don't you? I certainly do! If Rather is another "Four Month Wonder", like Kerry, this fact needs more exposure.
