Key to the entire issue is the whole Democratic party from McCaulife on down underestimating Bush. They truly believed there was so much hatred for Bush they couldn't lose. They had no agenda, no organization, and no candidate because they just figured anyone was going to beat Bush. When Dean appeared to be just a little too much of a lunatic they picked Kerry without the least thought on what he stood for or what kind of baggage he was carrying.

It will be that Kerry didn't get their message out.

Their losses will be so severe that there will be a hugh and serius bloodletting among the various Dim factions: labor, abortion, race-baiters, sodomites, etc. And none of them will dare to simply say that America rejects who they are.

But even a massive Bush landslide will not bring them back to reality. And the only change that could help them would be that people like Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman would become the dominant voices in their party. This is unthinkable to them.

What will happen instead is that they will turn away from the Kerry fiasco and immediately say, "It's because we didn't have Hillary! as a candidate". This way, they can keep their heads in the sand for another two years and fend off the inevitable need to deal with their basic problem, i.e. they repulse most Americans.

There is no message. I've read and listened to Kerry's remarks many times. The only thing I can recall is that he claims he was in Vietnam. Like anybody even cares.

And his VP with the two-Americas bit? What a joke.

They don't have a single thing to offer voters. Not one.

It is simply Kerry saying, "I was in Vietnam and I'm not Bush." It's a pathetic and miserable little campaign with a lazy candidate and stupid staff. Honestly, you'd think the whole bunch was on Rove's payroll or something.

The Democrats have had nothing for a generation

Democrats really don't have to campaign for anything - just augmenting the status quo. So much for being "progressive".

Their policial forefathers, FDR, JFK & LBJ, made it possible that future campaigns only have to be about keeping the opposition from "taking away" the entitlements established since the Depression. If a voter receiving goverment monies, the growth of that person's economy is directly tied to the growth of government. What's this person's "pocket book" issue?
