(FWIW)
Here's an email I sent to my Representative:
The CBS/Dan Rather airing of the phony documents attempting to defame President Bush's honorable service in the National Guard represents a new Low by this network and their news anchor. In addition, it represents a treacherous attempt by those responsible to influence the results of the presidential election through the deliberate spreading of false information.
As my Representative, I urge you to use the full influence of your office through whatever means are available, including the Federal Communications Commission, to investigate this matter and demand that CBS and their cohorts begin act to responsibly or lose their broadcast privileges.

Dear Representative Pallone:
CBS published false information based upon forged documents which create false charges about the service my president in the Air Force Reserves. The inadequate due dilligence on the part of CBS has been well documented. Likewise, the liberal bias of CBS and especially 60 Minutes cannt be seriously challenged. As my representative, who has taken an oath to uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States, you owe a responsibility to call for an investigation into the source of the forged documents and for a declaration that CBS is not news organization within the meaning of McCain Feingold. CBS, which has chosen to become and agent of the Democatic National Committee, should not be permitted to further corrupt out political process by providing "news" coverage for the presidential election.

I want the fraud tobe proven beyond a doubt and then a legal investigation which requires the name of the person who gave it to Dan. I want LEGAL action and CRIMINAL charges here - not just a boycott.

"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print.
The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth: to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."- John Swinton, highly respected former Chief of Staff for the New York Times, at the New York Press Club, 1953.

And the hard thing is to boycott "Jeopardy!" (CBS division (since 1998) King World distributes the show -- KW's Inside Edition gave Bill O'Reilly a big move in his career, and of course, popular conservative Pat Sajak is host of Wheel of Fortune, another Sony quiz distributed by KW. CBS Paramount International distributes Wheel and Jeopardy! worldwide for US episodes.) Will Ken Jennings beat Thom McKee and Ian Lygo?
