Hospital Regulations
Hospital regulations require a wheelchair for patients who are being
discharged. However, while my friend was working as a student nurse, she
found one elderly gentleman - already dressed and sitting on the bed with a
suitcase at his feet - who insisted he didn't need her help to leave the
hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let her
wheel him to the elevator. On the way down, she asked if his wife was
meeting him. "I don't know," he said. "She's still upstairs in the bathroom
changing out of her hospital gown."
After working in hospitals so many years, that drew a *hearty chuckle*..:))
Amen Dubya.
Ain't that the truth, Dubya!
Pray for America as if
our survival depends upon it - -
It, in fact, does - -
Yes it does.
Great img.
Thanks Dixie. I have to remind myself sometimes that God is always there with me.
I use to look forward to September with great anticipation...
It was the time of year that we went shopping for brand new school supplie - can you smell the brand new notebooks and paper and pencils - maybe a protractor and other "gadgets". New shoes and new dresses and a new coat or jacket in anticipation of the chilly weather ahead. The smell of autumn approaching in the early morning. The Labor Day weekend - the last big Hurrah of the summer! My birthday and my great aunt's birthday. The first looks at my new classmates.
Now it is with dread that I see September approaching, no happy celebrations, just celebrating the deaths of almost three thousand people. How long must we mourn? Can't we celebrate September anymore with happiness? There are three of us that have birthdays and one anniversary on the 9th, 10th, 11th, and the 12th. Today we have talked about changing our birthdays and the anniversary to October or maybe August because then we won't get told by people that we shouldn't be out celebrating and happy, we should be mourning and unhappy.
I won't forget 9/11, but I am tired of the national mourning and brow beating. It happened, it couldn't be avoided and we need to move on. I saw a child today scared because his mother was crying and he couldn't understand why. He was only three or four and couldn't understand what was making his Momma so sad.
From now on I am going to celebrate living, the time for mourning is past.
Thanks for the ping
I just got a call from my grand son in FL. Everyone is alright. PRAISE THE LORD.
Prayers go out to the families.
Glad to hear from you Pippin!! Hope you 9/11 was enjoyable. We spent ours toolin' around on the lake.
That's great news Dubya. Praise God!
While I was unable to watch the memorials this morning, I nevertheless remember that day as I remember the Kennedy assassination, and the Challenger.
May God comfort all those who are hurting this day.
Good thread today Aquamarine. Sleep well. I didn't get to go to New Orleans today so I've enjoyed this so much.
