The democrats have been USING dead people for quite some time now, this is a new twist on the dead voters game they play.

Look on the BRIGHT side,The Majors are finally and TOTALLY unmasking themselves!!!!!

What's more, Bush didn't allow himself to get baited. He had to know for an absolute fact this story wasn't true, but he let it run its course. The mark of an exceptional leader. Kerry would have been crying and moaning the entire time.

Only difference is that with the Internet the family of the deceased are made aware of the misuse and are able to correct the problem......

I second that nomination! Buckhead... Mega-KUDOS for your fine work. :-) Don't forger TankerKC -- he saw something hinky about the documents right away, when watching 60 Minutes. And Howlin created the threads, including the first one analyzing the documentsm, and came up with good comments as well. Speaking of which, there were a lot of good comments by many freepers on all the threads. In fact, I didn't see a single thing mentioned by the professional document experts that wasn't first discussed by somebody on this board. Good work, everyone!

I thought there were regrets afterwards. I thought they didn't expect it to become what it had become. That didn't happen until they switched into CYA mode.
IMHO, their only real regrets were how badly the whole thing came across. They hadn't anticipated the public reaction that they got.

How did this wonderful post #47 get to the attention of the media?
I don't know how it got to powerlineblog.com (I think I know), but
The sixty-first minute mentioned it in the blogosphere, and was first, AFAIK. Once it got released into the wild, other bloggers picked it up.

Now we need to find a way to add the word "Selectrix" to it.
Selectri-Gate was a candidate for a while, but the Selectric didn't seem to have the capability to do the proportional fonts, much less the kerning, so it didn't take off.

You just undid about 20 million dollars worth of 527 attack ads with less then a penny of electricity.

Unlike the Swift Vets, I'm convinced these conveniently created new anti-National Guard 527s came right from the DNC. Is it too much to hope that an investigation into the forged memos will uncover that illegal connection?
