Maybe the Sickstee F'n Minutes producers are going to say it was all a psychological experiment to see if people would believe a hoax...just like people believe the "hoax" of the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth. I wouldn't put it past them.

I think Mort said on Brit's show, that if these documents are proven to be false, game over, Bush wins by a land slide!!!
To: Keith in Iowa
This is a real big deal. I have seen this story on every channel this evening. MSNBC, CNN, and CBS are all reporting these documents as if they were genuine, when in fact they are fake well beyond any doubt.
Tommorrow and this weekend we will see the ramifications of the biggest scam ever pulled by the apparently some of the most stupid people ever born. What the heck were they thinking?
Thank God for all of you Freepers and all those bloggers out there who figured this whole thing out!

Today is a Historic Day.
It is the day that the "NEW" Media overtook the "Old" Media.

What are the odds that nobody at CBS knew these were forgeries?
It strikes me that the timing of them at a point of particular need by the Democratic candidate, and the affinity of the network for the Democrats says that this is the result of intentional deceit or negligent authentication (which suggests sloppy deceit.)
They knew they were being sloppy.
Or
They knew they were deceiving.
Therefore, the odds that nobody knew would be zero.

Internal investigation? Here, let me write the outcome:
"...after an exhaustive review of the evidence and extensive interviews with the responsible parties, CBS News has determined that the episode of 60 Minutes in question was produced within the established standards set by CBS. We hope this puts this matter to rest; we will entertain no more inquiries into this matter".
Bet me.

Take a bow, Howlin'! You're one of the guys who got this thing going! Powerline didn't pick it up until after this morning's thread got mentioned to them.
Well done! If the RNC was our Normandy Landing, this latest attempt was our Battle of the Bulge.
