The stupid fools at state (read Powell) said Russia should enter into negotiations with the Chechyan Islaminazi, Muslim terrorists who just murdered over 400 people of which over 150 were little children the bastards tortured and raped.

I consider Putin to have been very diplomatic, I would still be yelling very foul curse words at Powell and the Euro weenie terrorist appeasers.

The US state department is riddled from top to bottom with the scum of the earth traitors. They care nothing about America.

Ah, but would Tom Daschle, or his replacement, let him?

And would Bush really do it?

And will Powell really leave?

And will this person "more to my liking" be able to kick the State Department's butt? Or will he be captured by the bureaucracy?

"Bush is saying what is right and has defended israel if you want someone to be for the other side you can hope for kerry"

Don't make this a Bush Kerry thing...we are discussing the comments made by the State department on the issue which send conflicting signals on the war gainst terrorists.

Yes, and only if our Army were out of there. Remember the Oil for Food scam and that Russia has opposed US defense interests regarding all of those countries.

The time to do something about Iran and Syria draws near. A few days ago, Russia opposed the vote to tell Syria to withdraw its troops from Lebanon.

Ma'am, I started to go for posting opinion hit pieces in reaction against the bashing of the State Dept. Then the following interesting comment came along. ...stopped me in my tracks and turned me toward hard (objective) news stuff, instead.

I read that "briefing" and I have to say that Mr. Boucher is the single most evasive and nuanced person to have ever been born. The State Department is broken, it's so nuanced that it fails to even acknowledge terrorism as a deal-breaker for rebellious and revolutionary groups wanting diplomatic ties to the USA. He cannot answer questions regarding US contacts with Chechen groups even when he likely knew that questions regarding this would be foremost on the minds of others at the meeting. I can only surmise that he is either dishonest or incompetent. If he is witholding information regarding US contacts with Chechens because it is not politically expedient for him to release such information, then he is dishonest. If he is completely unaware of the level of involvement between the US State Department and the Chechen rebels, then he is completely incompetent and should be replaced. Colin Powell, sadly, lacks the testicular fortitude to recognise this, as he is exactly the same kind of nuanced beaurocrat as Mr. Boucher.

on greta(fox), a reporter said she met with putin. she said the first trigger of the bombing was accidental. one of the terrorist tripped the wire which started the whole maylay. Putin, according to the reporter was talking to reporters and not someone from the state department with regards to fighting the terrorist.

Ah...also this, in light of the fact that much of the Chechen terrorist money laundering is done around London instead of Switzerland.

It speaks volumes about certain pantywaists in the State Department that we have reached a day where we have no choice but agree with the Russian leader ather than our own government.

Idiots.

"But that's not happening at the Geopolitical Major Leagues where THIS kind of announcement happens. I'll guarantee you, our State Department briefing was thoroughly vetted with the Russians before being made. Probably in a personal call between Putin and Bush. This is a plan. It serves our interests, Russian interests and some longer term objective in stabilizing Chechnya. That's the way Bush operates, and Putin and Bush trust each other."

You amaze me with your ability to read Putin's and Bush's minds. Do you really think that Putin CLEARS his statements with Bush before making them? Do you think Bush CLEARS his statements with Putin? Both men make their statements based on their own country's vital interests. Somehow you think what the State Dept. came out with was thoroughly vetted by the Russians first. You've got to be kidding. They would never vet and approve a statement so against their own interests. To negotiate with Chechens? As if this was just another little problem that can be solved by chit chatting with the terrorists? I doubt it.

And I'm not so sure Bush hasn't given the State Dept. license to say these kind of ridiculous statements. The State Dept. with regularity makes the same argument that there has to be negotiations with terrorists when speaking of Israel and Arafat and his band, over an alleged future state of Palestine. What a joke. Nothing like creating a new terrorist state right on the border with Israel. You can NEVER negotiate with terrorists, and Bush and the State Dept. should come out loud and clear against negotiating with them, whether they be Pali terrorists or Chechen terrorists.

Chechnya decides it wants independence, Al Queda gets its meathooks into Chechnya, they are all agitating for this breakaway from Russia in order to destabilize the entire eastern boundary of Russia, and hope to eventually establish a large state that will be an Islamic one, sitting right on Russia's eastern border. If Chechnya succeeds in breaking away, shortly thereafter the rest of the Caucusus regions will attempt the same thing, in order to unite in one big ISLAMIC and hostile state. And you think Russia has no vested interests in opposing this? I hope Putin, although small in physical size, puts his big foot down on Chechnya, and should consider what Stalin did with regard to the Chechens, move all the Chechens out of there into small groups dispersed in every which direction, so that the odds of them recoagulating and causing further trouble is virtually eliminated. Then move a lot of Russians into the area to take their place. That's an extreme response, but a good one from my point of view. Should do the same thing with the Pali's. Move them into Jordan, and help Jordan financially to take them in (that's if Jordan could be convinced to even take them}. There should be no dealings, negotiations, sitting down for tea, or other parlaying with the likes of terrorists anywhere in the world. One day we will learn this to be a truism, as we will in our future be dealing with like terrorist problems, just wait and see. And by the way, if things in our country get bad enough, political correctness will be thrown to the wind, and all muslims will be thrown out of this country. You can't live with a 5th column in your midst for long, if you value the lives of the rest of your citizens. We'll see what happens. Will be interesting to see how dealing with terrorists progresses, what methods will be used.

That's one of the problems, isn't it, how the people in the highest pay grades act, petty bureaucrats opening their mouths and making ridiculous comments on how to negotiate with terrorists. Time to rid our government of such types, a perfect example being Mr. Boucher of the State Department.

Boucher works for Secretary Powell who works for President Bush.

No State Department position of this import would EVER be submitted without the approval ... perhaps the initiation ... of President Bush.

President Bush would never initiate or approve this kind of diplomatic initiative, at this sensitive moment, without first seeking the consul and approval of his friend, and our ally in the WOT, Vladimir Putin and the Russian people.

What else ya got?
