>> Isn't it funny that all Kerry has to do is sign the
>> little ole 180 and all the questions go away... or
>> do they just begin?

> They just begin.

If the withheld records support Kerry, then part of the
SBVFT claims go away, and their credibility is damaged
enough that the anti-war complaint is impaired (from a
purely PR point of view).

But the SBVFT won't drop the turncoat complaint even
if Kerry signs the 180.

And, it is almost certain that an SF-180 document dump
includes massive old and new problems for Kerry.

So it ain't gonna happen, at least not in any credible way.

He might sign on 01 Nov, or dump additional docs prior
to that without signing (and those docs would be at
high risk of being forgeries).

ABSOLUTELY!! Keep on talking about his antiwar protest and how much courage that took.

Vietnam and the antiwar movement are such sweet memories for most Americans, especially the American Vets, that it is bound to make them fall in love with this...LOSER.

That's precisely why he said "three opponents" then listed two. Kerry is his own worst enemy. (I'm wondering whether the People's Republic of Massachusetts with send him back to the Senate after this.)

In a sense he had a "document dump." Selected postings of his records at his web sites complimented with staffers vouching that "all" documents had been released.

It worked for two or three months, the media repetively repeating the staffer statements that all records had been released. Not lately though, I guess they figured out it wasn't true.

Your source link is MSNBC, which is airing a pro-Kerry, anti-Nixon, anti-American "documentary-like" special program right now, spinning F'n's testimony before the Senate in 1971. (Don't watch it!) They SUCK.

It is obvious to me that Kerry used his medal gambit as his gigolo bait. The congressional dims used him to hang the Viet Nam war on Nixon.

It's all about character and Kerry has none.

in our frenetic desire to have a copy of Unfit for Command ASAP, we ordered a copy from BAM, only to have the amazon copy arrive this week. In a day or so, we'll have 2 copies.

Even the foreword is equal parts maddening and mind-boggling.

A friend of mine posted this on a local chat site (he gave me permisson to use it:

"Think about this folks: This country is on the verge of electing a socialist, Massechusetts, liberal anti-american flip flopper as president, with a neo-liberal, Tides Foundation supporting, socialist wife. And, to top it off, they have a trial lawyer who made a FORTUNE off of phony science with hardly any political experience at all as the VP. I can't BELIEVE someone would even consider voting for that ticket. It's a disgrace"

Sasso has a rare quality among Democrats, according to those who worked with him in '88. "Nobody has sharper elbows than John Sasso," says Michael Goldman, a former Boston political consultant. "He can hit as hard as the Republican hit machine."

Kaptain Ketchup has no clue. This isn't "The American President" where Sydney Allen Wade saves your ass (remember Shepard lost the gun bill battle).

You have to defeat the most powerful man in the world and a record of 30 years ago ain't going to do it.

God bless our troops wherever they may be.

, Kerry ripped into Cahill, furious that the mostly baseless attacks on his valor were driving his numbers down.

Kerry can't defend himself to the press ?

You know, I used to think that he must have SOME charm,
since he's a successful two-time gigolo, but in all the
video footage I've seen of him, I see zero evidence to
support that hypothesis.

I see no evidence of even simple affection. A family
member wondered aloud today if he might actually be ...
... well, I won't go there. The photos with the
football almost speak for themselves.

But back to your "bait" theory. I have wondered in
various threads when Teresa learned the truth about
the medals, how she took it, and what she plans to
do about it.

My guess is mama T. is getting her eyes opened. When Kerry loses, he just might have to pack up his bicycle and surf board and moveon.org.

Are you suggesting that Clinton chose the timing for his heart problems to be made public and scheduled the by-pass to take himself out of the loop in this campaign? ...'08...'08...'08

Well, I wouldn't put anything past that old fox.

This pro-Kerry article bemoans the August doldrums of the Kerry campaign.

The bias to be noted is the truncation of "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" to "Swift Boat" or "Swifties" in the article. "Veterans for Truth" never makes the article.

I do not recall similar truncations going the other way: M&M for Michael Moore; Movies for MoveOn.org; or F'n911 for Fahrenheit 911.

This isn't an op-ed piece. It is presented as hard news analysis. So why no room in print for the articulation of "Veterans for Truth" . . .?
