This whole article reeks of selective amnesia which several posters have tried to correct by pointing out the times Russia has not only left us high and dry in the WOT but has actually aided the enemy (Iran, for example).
I hope we make sure that our cooperation is now fully reciprocated (as in: help us in Iraq and stop helping Iran!) Otherwise, they can reap what they sow!

did they really think the Islamofascist just hate the United states. Costly mistake.
Terror isn't limited to Russia and the USA. Israelis have been dealing with these types for many years, India has been divided up into Pakistan and Bangladesh because of Muslim terrorism on the Hindus. Two million people in the Sudan have been massacred from Muslims. Eventually everyone will be in their target --- it's our turns now.
That's true --- the mosques in the USA are all involved in fund raising including the muslim charities here which collect money to reward the families of terrorists who give their lives to the cause.
You'd do well not to barge in with sweeping allegations and generalisations. Russia has "dirty hands" as do Germany ,France and others in supporting world-wide Islamo-facist Terrorism including the more than decade long genocide in East Africa. This sorrowful Chechen tragedy will be but a footnote when all is revealed and fully recounted. Outrage is no grounds for outbursts.

I think Russia is starting to wake up. Earlier today I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in Russia - she has in the past been critical of Americans and President Bush in light of the War on Terror. Today, when I talked to her, it seemed like she is beginning to see the light a bit: she referred to the terrorists as b*st*rds and didn't seem to them to want them to be treated very nicely, to say the least. It's a start.
Russia and the US ultimately may not find better allies than eachother in this war. We are both major targets, and we both have the means to deal with the problem to some extent. The Russians will certainly get more support from us if they are willing to start giving us more support in return. A US-Russian alliance could be the terrorists' worst nightmare. I have a feeling that the Russians will not be lulled to sleep as has sadly been the case with many here in this country.
