Former Viet Cong soldier describes fierce fighting, which, of course has absolutely nothing to do with Kerry, but is intended to imply that somehow Kerry is a hero, because other Swift Boats fought valiantly.

Of course they would vote for Kerry... he helped them win.

This is a genuine news article, NOT a spoof.
Although, when I did a search, to see, whether this has already been posted, I did come across a similar post, which WAS a spoof from scrappleface.
Viet Cong Vets for Kerry Refute Swiftboat Book

"The Viet Cong veterans' support comes at a crucial time for the Kerry-Edwards campaign, just days before the release of Unfit for Command : Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.

Well, it's not a joke anymore, it's real, genuine news. And LA Times published the news -- do they really think that endorsement of Kerry by Viet Cong soldiers will help him? LOL

Just the endorsement Kerry has been awaiting...VIET CONG SOLDIERS FOR KERRY!
To: Jeff Head
I left out another relevant quote:
"He knew the suffering and how much misery it brought to the people of Vietnam he knew the cruelty of war," Sinh said. "So I don't think he would go to war again if he's elected."
That is exactly the problem. We don't want a wartime President, who would refuse to go to war to defend our country and the American people.

"When they went home, they knew the nature of the war and the people here were innocent and they knew it was nonsense to wage war here," said Hung, whose two older brothers joined the Viet Cong and laid mines in the rivers where the Swift boats operated.

Hooray for Kerry. Looks like he has chalked up another endorsement from the Asian Autocrats special interest group. First, it was the Malaysian autocrat and well-known joo-hater Dr. Mahathir who came out in support of him. Then Kerry got another ringing endorsement from those well-known humanitarians who operate above the 38th parallel. Now Kerry has chalked up an endoresement from communist acolytes who are directly responsible for killing American troops 35 years ago. But who I am to bring up things that happended 35 years ago. After all, if you are Republican you aren't allowed to discuss what happened 35 years ago. That privilege is reserved for New England bluebloods who are running for president on the Democratic ticket.
