Be glad Pat Buchanan has nothing to do with US foreign policy. I saw Buchanan on Russert's CNBC show last night, along with Meet the Press today, and never realized what an anti-semite he was.

Buchanan was quoting bin Laden and giving justification for al Qaeda's terrorism. God help us!

Yes, but to the question you raised about Jewish voters, he says: I know I'm in the minority among my co-religionists, whose knee-jerk practices at the polls stem either from grossly over-sentimental fantasies about FDR, or the belief that the Democrats espouse a "kinder, gentler" philosophy that is more akin to Jewish values. But I prefer to look beyond the slogans, to the substance.

If it means anything. During the Hurricane here in Florida two of my brother in laws friends came over with their wives. Weather wasn't too bad here in Broward. Both Jewish Doctors. I think there's a clue in the article - re FDR. IIRC FDR was still President when the USA went into Germany and exposed the death camps and rescued the Jews.
