G'day, mate. Maybe the secret to good golf is a good pie. I never tried that one, but will avoid the "Four-n-Twenty Pie" if offered, based upon your poignant description. It's more likely that a "cow pie" is on the list of fare around the public courses here. I would prefer the lush private courses...but my reputation precedes me...

GOLF - "Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden" - right! (Ain't no ladies in our foursomes. Ain't no gentlemen, neither).

"There is no such thing as a "regulation" course. Just look at the variety on the PGA Tour. You have par 70, 71, and 72. What determines Par is the number of par 3s and par 5s. If they are equal you will have a par 72. If they are not you will not."

Yes there is.
A "Regulation" course is considered to have a MINIMUM length of 6200 yards from the men's tees, and is GENERALLY par 72. Obviously, par can vary.

BTW, for you nit-pickers, I was just trying to get "statistic-man's" formula more in line with reality, so gimme a friggin break.

Apparently Kim Jong-Il has been using the ancient art of "No-Can-Do", (a variation of Origamikarate) to hone his golfing skills. Tiger Woods was reported to have requested secret coaching lessons from "The Great Putting Leader", but he was turned down because of his lack of golfing prowess.

In other golfing news from the Peninsula, The North Koreans are secretly training an American Korean War veteran, who has recently been defrosted after having been cryogenically frozen for 52 years, in the new "Super-Golfing" techniques.

Future golfing fans would be well advised to watch out for the appearance on the world circuit of a 25 year-old American with a strange accent and a crew cut hairdo answering to the name of "Pyongyang Pete". World domination of golf awaits his shivering hands.
