Personality isn't Kerry's biggest problem... It is a lack of character.
Personality grows outward from a person's character, and the void in Kerry's character results in a vacant and uninspiring personality.

Besides all that,
he's a lying, duplicitous, traitorous, conceited, arrogant, Communist-global-government-of-tyranny supporter; idiot, calloused, Machiavellian dork affixed compulsively to mama's sugar tit and purse.

Kerry's biggest problem is name recognition - too many people know who he is.

Maybe you should. Hire a bartender, that is. Somebody needs to cut John Kerry off when he's had one too many.

My vote for the most likeable leftist of all time is the perennial Socialist candidate for president, Eugene V. Debs.

EVERYbody liked Gene. He was in the Atlanta Pen for awhile, for opposing World War I, and when he was released the warden, staff, AND prisoners took up a collection for him.
He was a good, kind, honest man. Too bad he supported a political philosophy that has brought death and poverty to so many.

Yes, it's that superciliousness that grates on the nerves. Now he has taken to dressing like Thurston Howell III, which makes the impression so much worse.

Thereby saying to left what they want most to hear: it's not our winning politics that are at fault, it's our loser of a candidate!.
Yep. The Democrats didn't learn a damned thing from Clinton. They are right back to the McGovern-Mondale-Dukakis model of nominating these far-left peaceniks who go down in flames. And each time, they convince themselves it was the salesman, not the product.
It's true that Kerry is a thoroughly unlikeable character, but so was Gore, and he damned near won. Even the people who voted for Gore would admit they would never want him & Tipper over for dinner.
I would like to get TahRAYzuh over for dinner. She may have escaped eating that Wendy's chili, but if I get my hands on her, she's getting a whole plate of my extra-special tuna-noodle-olive slop. And I'll tell the Rottweiler to bite her if she doesn't finish it.
