There are millions of us backing the Swift Vets.
If he attacks them, we will back the vets.
If he does some lame A$$ed apology, they will not buy it nor will we.

I wonder how the VFW's will react? If the veterans react poorly to him (which I have a feeling they will), then the MSM will be in a real bind on how to present Kerry's speech. They cannot trumpet Kerry without giving more voice to more pissed off vets. It also plays into the swift boaters who are shifting their attacks to Kerry's post-war antics.
I'm just saying that the media has the power to spin and bury it... and create confusion about the apology... which will work to keep Kerry's comatose base in their comas.
The people who are awake will see it for what it is, but at least 1/3 of Kerry's base is sound asleep at the wheel. Maybe half. The other 2/3s of Kerry's base are pure ideological vacant idiots.

I was over at the Dummies site. It looks like many of them are throwing in the towel. There are a few die hard koolaid drinkers, but they are being chastized by the others. They are even turning on the DU cult board leaders. Very funny stuff.
