On the other hand it is just some people having a little fun.
I'll always believe that it only makes sense that the Rats started the most personal,vicious,and spiteful political attacks when this era began,and here's why-because the Republicans had quite a few years in the wilderness,not holding power in the Congress and in the statehouses.We had plenty of time to learn to live with being the opposition party and work from that position. The Reagan Revolution and then the Contract With America changed all that,and the Demo-rats stil haven't had time to accept it and acknowledge that they have no divine entitlement to be the majority party in this country. They are still in the stages of bitter disbelief and scrambling to regain what they consider to be rightfully theirs,no matter what the people say with their votes.
But it's OK,they have plenty of time(with a few glitches here and there no doubt) to adjust to the situation.They'll have four more years after November in which to adjust and resign themselves,that is,if they are at all capable of rational thought,and can admit that they are not a dynasty and that the politcal power in this country does not devolve upon them as by a mandate from Heaven. They,like Louis IV,believe,"l'etat,c'est moi". They are still fighting against the painful, to them, reality.
Until they do adjust,just as Republicans had to do for so long,it will be ever so much fun to prick their balloons of pomposity and snark on their pretentious though duplitious earnestness. It can't be helped, they just BEG to have pies thrown in their faces with their awesome arrogance and breath-taking delusion in believing that they OWN the right to rule and that it was stolen from them by the good voters of this country.

Newbie? I'm a 59 year old man who has voted for conservative candidates since I was old enough to vote (1966).
A "newbie" is someone who joined at least 5 minutes after you did.
I definitely wouldn't call John McCain a conservative...and as for being a loyal Republican, that's questionable as well.
If this is the biggest thing in your world that you are concerned about try another site.
Last time I checked it was a free country. And hope that it remains so with the re-election of GWB on November 2!
