It's not a surprise to me. The guy is a successful businessman regularly attacked by the MSM.

He's also killed 2 men, and was convicted for one murder, the second was believed to be self defence.

He's the GOP version of Al Sharpton.

At least ours are of the sort that can legitimately vote.

Is Don King allowed to vote? He was convicted of manslaughter once.

He did his thing, and earned a fortune the old fashioned way.

...Don King earned it.

Don King killed 2 men, was convicted for one of them, the first man he killed, he pistol whipped to death over a small amount of money the guy owed him, he pistol whipped him while that guy begged for his life.

The second person Don King killed, was ruled self defence.

Don King is many things, and the only reason he's supporting Bush is because he's scared for his life, he lives in NYC, and he does not want to die in a terrorist attack.

That was then, this is now! I personally welcome Don King into the Republican tent. He's gone on since then to become a self made man, and to become the greatest boxing promoter ever. He's probably evolved in many other ways as well, and to find him on the right side of this most important political race ever speaks very well for him. I dont care what he's done in the past-at least he's not a part of the sickening antiAmerican rabble we are forced to hear from every day! More power to Don King!

"Don King killed 2 men, was convicted for one of them, the first man he killed, he pistol whipped to death over a small amount of money the guy owed him, he pistol whipped him while that guy begged for his life."

Bet Don King did some hard time for the brutal behavior of his reckless youth.
Interestingly enough though, instead of continuing along with a criminal lifestyle, Don King decides he's going legit & makes a fortune in the process.
Only in America.
On top of that, Don King's obviously one of the few examples of the US penal system actually working insofar as "rehabilitation" goes, don'tcha think?

Don King paid his debt to society Sonny, then made a fortune, and as I said he did so the old fashioned way, he earned it.

I guess if Don King learned nothing else while sitting in a prison cell, it had to be one didn't have to beat a person to death (over a few paltry bucks), that there're better ways to live & make a [damned] good living.

If you've any other conclusion based the facts of DK's life -- as we know it -- then let's have it.
I'm surely not the only person who'd really be interested hearing what you have to say.

"The second person Don King killed, was ruled self defence."

Then it'd seem to me Don King & you Sonny, have a lot in common.
From your bio page, then:
"Give me liberty, give me justice or just give me my damn gun and I'll get it myself. Evil prevails when good men do nothing, evil men lose when good ones shoot'em."

While I admire your clarity & courage, Sonny when it comes to "taking charge" of your own interest(s) by any means possible, could it be Don King might've actually been defending himself when he committed an act of manslaughter?
Hells Bells, regardless of what anyone says about [that] incident a jury seemed to think he was justified.
And you just have to know that jury was a "tough" one hearing his case -- given the year we're talking about, here -- & if they could've handed down a "Guilty" verdict, they [probably] would've gladly done so.

"Don King is many things, and the only reason he's supporting Bush is because he's scared for his life, he lives in NYC, and he does not want to die in a terrorist attack."

Really?
That Don King sure has some nerve wanting to survive, huh.

Y'know my friend, how many people live in the Big Apple these days, 15 - 20 million?
If Don King's motive is as you say, to support the one man who actually did something against the SOBs who murdered 3,000+ of our fellow citizens -- & I have no reason to believe it isn't, mind you -- then Don King is amoung an even smaller minority -- in NYCity, anyway -- than anyone realizes.

Seems yesterday on the opening day of the RNConvention I witnessed tens of thousands of [presumably] New Yorkers marching in downtown NYCity, Sonny.
You just have to know every single one of those protesters were either in downtown NYCity at the time the WTC towers were attacked; or, could've seen the smoke from their vantage point in MASS, NJ etc.
Get my point?

If Don King's scared for his own ass, he sounds as if he might be one of the few sane people living in New York City.

...based upon what *I've* witnessed, anyway.

Thats not even debatable, I would say hasn't been caught with as serious charges, but never the less, has committed other crimes, from fraud to taxes and is always being hauled into court from civil to criminal charges, his record from the murders to this day is quite long (the only question is why hasn't 3 strikes kicked in yet?).

Don King paid his debt to society Sonny, then made a fortune, and as I said he did so the old fashioned way, he earned it.

Al Capone served some time, then went out and earned a fortune, much the same way before finally being nailed for good.

As for his self defense claims, since the other guy is dead, its a hard arguement, but there have been numerious books and articles written, where he jokes about getting off. He has never even threatened to sue anyone who has outright claimed that he lied and murdered the guy, though he doesn't really give a strong denial either and if you meet Don King personally and ask him, he's just as likely to still laugh.

Long story short, any article, and book, you will have a hard time find anyone (including family) who has known him a long time, and continues to speak good of him. From Ali, Holmes, Tyson Foreman and others, the M.O. has always been to use race to exploit others and then rip them off.

I'm not even going to go into some of the fights that I've watched that he was involved in, that forget suspicious, had outright ludicrious decisions and endings.
