Anyone want to take a shot at this. I get too upset and I have to admit I haven't read it carefully but I know I can't reply without some help.

Does anyone feel up to rebutting this point by point?

This guy knows that I'm not a great debater on paper. Put him here in the same room with me and I'd put him under the table whining like Skerry. He won't talk politics with me in person. I'm the only one in my family who can shut him up.

He's a typical liberal Dimocrat and I get these late-night hit and run emails regularly and I usually just delete them but tonight it infuriated me.

Why do you bother with this guy? He's on the wrong side of history and not worth getting worked up over. FReegards.

This one will take awhile. But it can easily be defended.

--He has alienated us from the rest of the world. On Sept. 12 the headline in Le Monde was "We are all Americans now". That same feeling is no longer held by most of the world.

Let me guess. He read this in the Albuquerque Journal.

FACT: On Thursday, August 26, 2004 the Albuquerque Journal wrote an article that states that President Bush's nation campaign legal counsel, Benjamin Ginsberg, resigned after admitting that he has been advising the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth on their attacks on John Kerry.

He admitted no such thing.

FACT: On Thursday, August 26, 2004 the Albuquerque Journal wrote an article that states the chief critic of Kerry's service record, John O'Neill, lied in 1971 when he told then president Richard Nixon (I knew those secret Whitehouse tapes would come in handy) that he was in Cambodia. O'Neill now admits that he was not.

Wrong again.

He has managed to totally divide a country that was united by the vicious and cowardly attacks on our country on Sept. 11.

I am weary and can only deal with #1: Our President did what he said he was going to to, unfortunately the partisan democrats in both the house and senate chose to imperil this nation not by supporting our president and our now war on terrorisim but rather attempt to derail our president's efforts in a lame attempt to regain political power rather than attain homeland and world security.......

all i gotta say is, blah, blah blah The democrats need to field a new candidate, this dude is damaged goods. John O'Neill was never in Cambodia, he stated clearly that he was ON THE BORDER. End of story, tell Crissy he needs to do more research if he wants to prove his case, especially since O'Neill and Kerry didn't serve in Vietnam at the same time.

"FACT: On Thursday, August 26,2004 the Albuquerque Journal wrote a front-page article under the headlines " Swift Boat Account Flawed"."

FACT: The Media Wing of the Democratic Party will lie and state whatever mis-truth is necessary to get JFnK elected.

I agree that this garbage isn't worth the time of day.
You can start by telling him that because a newspaper printed it, doesn't make it a fact. The only fact is that it was printed. Additionally the language of these statements is designed to illicit certain conclusions, which are not necessarily true. This whole letter is an exercise in false arguments. The bit about the lawyer is a perfect example. He resigned because he thought it would "look better", not because he "admitted" (word confers guilt) to the work. The work is perfectly legal and there are 2 or 3 lawyers doing the same thing between the Kerry campaign and Democrat 527s.

>>--He is leaving a national debt that will haunt us, our children and our children's children. His agenda is not so much " no child left behind" as it is "no child left out of debt".<<

When my parents bought their house in 1961, the 180.00 housepayment almost broke them monthly. When I inherited the house in 1989, rents were nearly 400.00 a month and that same 180.00 was a pitance out of my pocket. The national debt will be the same.
Also, that national debt is a projection. Tax breaks cause national income because more is invested in businesses and buying more, making more jobs.

Does that help any?

Does the guy that wrote this believe everything he reads?

Tell him, the reason John Kerry had to give the hampster mouth to mouth was because he tried to do a Richard Gere and almost suffocated it.

If he concludes that because one lawyer counseled both Bush and the SBVT, that the SBVT are a sham organization, he is intellectually dishonest and isn't worth the time of day. I refuse to debate intellectually dishonest people. Tell him to prove that the Bush campaign is coordinating the SBVT ads or shut up. Besides O'Neill is more of a Democrat than Republican and whose conflict with Kerry goes back 35 years. Bush had nothing to do with O'Neill and his group of veterns.

Begin by telling him that his email proves the old adage, "garbage in, garbage out."

End by saying, "So, you're going to vote for the baby killer?"
