Wow, so that's at least 3 versions, the "walking to get an M60" version, the "chocolate chip cookie version" and the "other boat version". Bronze Star Versions <-- Read 'em all!, follow the "View Replies" link too.
The River, The Mission, The Ambush <-- More Bronze Star

Someone here wrote the other day that Mr. Rassman is on a pension from the LAPD?
Gotta wonder what he has been doing all these years that might have shaped his feeling of loyalty to Kerry and the libs...(naturally if Mr. Rassman is an honest man...he is blindly loyal..at least from my perspective)
I haven't heard Mr. Rassman vocalize any animosity toward those who don't see things as he does though...which is interesting...he simply tells his story his way and it happens to be favorable to Kerry...It is very possible that the story happened from his perspective the way he tells it...
Other peoples versions are quite different...so to arrive at the truth one must independently interview a variety of witnesses take into consideration their dependability and honesty and their agenda (if they have one) and weigh it carefully against the testimony of other credible witnesses..
The SBVT have careful and systematically culled testimony that does not have at least two witnesses to it...even seemingly honest versions with only one witness were discarded from the book...
Sometimes it's amazing to talk to your old shipmates or war buddies and listen to how they saw the very same events you did...at the same time...and yet saw something completely different
Or how thirty five years later....they have evolved into flaming God hating liberal brown stained dip shorts...and they cant believe
what a bible thumping conservative war mongering a hole I've become
There is a process whereby the truth of a matter may be ascertained...so far only the SBVT have approached the matter of Kerry's version of events with anything even remotely resembling dispassionate fact finding and truth prosecution
Mr. Rassman may indeed be a fiercely loyal kinda guy or have an agenda....his past might very well reveal either or both...
The SBVTs have presented facts in such a way that any good jury would have no problem determining what the truth is....and what it isn't...... regarding the suitability of JFKerry for Commander and Chief of our Armed Forces...which is their stated goal and only goal
Mr. Rassmans accounts simply are not wieghty enough to be more compelling than the SBVTs
imo

Funny how someone who was forced to retire from the LA Sheriff's office in his early 40's has all this money to travel in support of Carrie.
I wonder how much he's taking from Carrie's friend Soros.
And I wonder if Carrie and the DNC are blackmailing him over his conduct prior to getting "resigned" by the LA Sherrif's Department.

OOPS, my bad.
However, SIX or NINE, my point's the same. It's not like the letter was signed by every congress-critter who was a vet.

Some things never change...
Page 200: "I called the media. . . . I said, 'If I take some crippled veterans down to the White house and we chain ourselves to the gates, will we get coverage?' 'Oh, yes, we will cover that.' So you are reduced to a position where the only way you can get your ideas out is to stage events."

RASSMAN (age 56) retire? Gads, the "gatekeepers" must really hate the Internet. They can't just poop out their version of events, and have nobody asking questions, like in the old days.
Why is Rassmann retired? He apparently was 19 or 20 in 1968, and then went to work for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 1989 at 41.
And a "lifelong Republican" retires to Oregon?

' Rassmann is doing it for the money. He's a Democrat mercenary, taking the Kerry campaign's filthy lucre, and parroting lines approved by Kerry's advisors...'
The $30.00 a day Rassman mentions is a decoy. He has all expenses paid. But the real pay-off for Rassmann is that if Kerry actually gets in to desecrate the Oval Office and effectively bring an end to this nation, Rassman will assuredly receive an attractive sinecure probably in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Same for Cleland and the others.

Retired at such a young age..... Are you sure there is more to the story to round-out his overall credibility?
