Somebody ought to ask Max Cleland about why the Dems are smearing this vet. After all, Cleland just said today, "To attack a fellow veteran who has distinguished himself ... in combat, regardless of the political combat involved, is disgraceful."
Ping, just in case you haven't seen this disgracful smear of a veteran.
And the GOP will denounce this attack campaign, sure. The same way they are currently highlighting the Kerry links to their 527s.

So a man who is admired by many suffered deep emotional pain and reacted in a way that is all too familiar. I say it only shows how human he is and how truly frail the best of us can be when confronted with the darkness that sometimes enters our lives.
It does not change that Kerry lied.
