Yep, that I know.
Braggart!
"Because when the time for moral crisis existed in this country, I wasn't taking care of myself, I was taking care of public policy. I was taking care of things that made a difference to the life of this nation. You may not have agreed with me, but I stood up and was counted and that's the kind of president I'm going to be."
Like the moral crisis in Kansas City? Where FBI firmly fixes Mr. Kerry in the midst of a plot to assassinate hawkish senators? The plot that he didn't report to authorities? Way to stand up and be counted!
Things that made a difference in the life of this nation? Like demoralizing and demonizing a whole generation of veterans? Vets who are just now able in some way to unload the 35 years of pain? What a difference you made Mr. Kerry!
So, Mr. Kerry, you'll be a president like you were in 1971? That would be stabbing noble men and women in the back?
[Expletive deleted], how can this man be so stupid?
(I'm now going back to my normal mild-mannered self)
Somebody is sounding pathetic and it is John Kerry.
George Bush has been attacked for months on a variety of issues. Yellowcake, WMD, the Plame Name Blame Game, his National Guard service, Richard Clarke, Michael Moore, Abu Ghraib and so on.
Not once has he cried about it or complained. He does indeed do exactly what Kerry says he does not and what Kerry does not do: He talks about the issues, explains his rationale, describes his proposals and says John Kerry served admirably.
I assumed it was Harkin's wife, but someone help us out here: who is the mystery commie worshipper?
Tom Harkin (Dem-Soviet Union)
