Just like Clinton did! He has town meetings with 'invited supporters' that the liberal press takes as the general populace! Why won't JohnF'nKerry do open townhall meetings??????????

(AP) Kerry has been reaching out to fellow soldiers for help battling the fallout from a group of veterans who accuse him of lying about his record. Robert "Friar Tuck" Brant, a member of the group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, said Kerry called him Sunday night and asked if he was aware of the group's activities.
(AP)"I said, `I am one, John,'" said Brant, who had appeared at a news conference announcing the group in May. "There was a moment of hesitation and he said, `I appreciate your honesty.' He said, `Well, why are you?'"
(AP) Brant said he told Kerry he was most upset about Kerry's protests after returning from the war, when he accused soldiers of committing atrocities. "I said, `You know that's not true,'" Brant said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "That's been simmering in me about 35 years."
(Actual) KERRY: "Why are all these swift boat guys opposed to me?"
(Actual) BRANT: "You should know what you said when you came back, the impact it had on the young sailors and how it was disrespectful of our guys that were killed over there.
(AP) Brant said Kerry said he didn't mean everyone in the war was involved in the atrocities.
(Actual) KERRY: "When we dedicated swift boat one in '92, I said to all the swift guys that I wasn't talking about the swifties, I was talking about all the rest of the veterans."
(AP) The Massachusetts senator also offered to meet to discuss their differences, Brant said. He said he declined, saying, "I know what I know."
(Actual) Kerry then asked if he could meet Brant -- man to man -- face to face.
(Actual) Brant declined the invite, explaining that Kerry was obviously not prepared to correct the record on exactly what happened during Vietnam and what happened when Kerry came back.

It took him three weeks to acknowledge he slandered and defamed our troops thirty-three years ago? Wow.... talk about a meltdown. And as for "defending" his record, he still refuses to answer ALL questions and execute a SF 180. The Swifties haven't been started with the tough yet and John F*ckin' is STILL on the defensive. He vowed this morning to change the subject and by this evening, he was back to Vietnam. I wondered how long it would take. Apparently, not THAT long.

He can't stay off Vietnam. Its like he's obssessed with it. His friends in the media can't help him. Come to think of it, if he insists on the refighting the Vietnam War, that's not a bad idea. Kerry doesn't even listen to his own advisers to focus on the issues that matter to people today.

What fascinates me about Kerry is he treads where no other politician would go. He must have a political death wish. Now he brings up his anti-war activism. Just wait til Vets hear about it. Inspired!
