Oh please. Don't be so dramatic. We were just vouching for a freeper that we have experience with. No one was telling you what to think or trying to get you to "fall in line with the popular point of view".
The irony is I never heard anything from Stein.
Well ironically, that has nothing to do with Stein. All that means is that you have missed his threads. I've only been here a year and I see his posts all the time.
Is he against skepticism, and differing opinions, as much as all those who sent me those little "notes"?
Again, more drama queen stuff.
I can see Stein has some supporters on here who readily take issue with anyone who question his motives - just like liberals do.
No dear, it's okay to question. But what is pretty silly is to infer that someone is a liberal for trying in good faith to give you information about a fellow freeper. It is also silly to completely disregard the character references that others are willing to give you about a honorable man.
Anyway, I'll continue to read Stein's work hoping that he keeps hitting liberals, but not being surprised if he starts to shift the tone of his work.
Okay, oh wise one.
You know, I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I gave you my opinion of Stein. Now I see that you are one of those who values his own ego more than anything else.
Stein is running circles around most of us in political activism. We owe him our thanks. He takes on the challenges that most of us just sit around and bluster about on our keyboards. Like trying to get the Senate to dock Kerry's pay. We all talk about stuff like that. Jonathan does something about it.
I'm touched...
:)
The last thing I'm going to do is get in an online arguement about a point of view - that's nonsense.
I will say this though: I've read your bio and I'm a lot older than you, and I've been around long enough to develop a healthy sense of skepticism. I'm also a life-long Conservative. Conservatism and skepticism go together like bread and butter; that's not ego and it's not drama, it's reality.
You've been reading Stein's work longer than I have, and from what I've seen of it he's doing good work. I can understand wanting to defend the guy, I can respect that, but this becomes less about Stein and more about "can he be questioned". I've been a supporter of Bill Buckley for over 30 years and I still question some of his work, surely Stein can't be immune from criticism.
So, let's end this "posting spat" with you completely trusting Stein and me trusting him with a jaundiced eye.
BTW I liked your page.
Let me know when you need a PR person and or a campaign manager.
