Don't think so, smells more artificial, no sufide-type odors that I can discern. (yeah, like I'm an expert, right?)

"Sounds like H2S."
You sure? Wouldn't that be a rotten-eggs smell? Or am I thinking of another sulfide?
And yes, it does suck to be me right now.

No idea. It must be that broken operating system called Linux that FR uses.

I used to live about a 1/2 block away from a company that made the nougat filling for 3 Musketeers bars. They were uphill from me and there was a manhole in front of my porch.
You wouldn't believe how bad that stuff stinks when it's been 90 degrees for a few days.

do you have white castles near there?

I would imagine it's coming from Texas City then. My brother is a Chemical Engineer at AAmaco and they've had a couple of incidents there lately. Hope it's nothing bad!

Give us some idea what it smells like. Not like rotten eggs you say, what else does it not smell like?

Rotten Mango. I'm not trying to be funny, honest, it's just the best description I know to make.

While I might agree with the content of that webpage, you are spamming.
You've posted the exact same message on several threads in which it has nothing to do with the subject of the thread.

Is there a natural gas storage or processing facility upwind? A noxious smelling chemical called Mercaptan is added to natural gas in order to make leaks detectable. Sometimes, it gets vented accidentally. Its very nasty stuff.
To: Frank_Discussion
Well Frank, "Stinkadena" hasn't changed much has it? You may want to have the media check it out. You ought to know if the smell is different and I would certainly want to know what it is. Good luck.

Don't think so. I LIKE that smell. This is stuff that really impairs breathing in a noticable way.

Just a suggestion, and I don't know if it will help, but it might--call a nearby ER and ask if there is any danger from the noxious smell at your house...describe the scent of rotten mangos (rotten fruit) and that might help...

I don't know if it's a troll... I went to the website and it appears legit. However, he definitely is spamming.

"I've never smelled THIS - it's almost like someone detonated a city-sized rotten mango down here! Really, it has me concerned. It literally took my breath away..."
Wow... We live in Southwest San Antonio not too far from Lackland and we had a similar stench here about 8:00 PM on Sunday night.
I promise never to eat at a Rudys BBQ again... NOT! Just kidding about the BBQ - not about the STINK. We did get something similarly ugly with the surge associated with the second nasty T-Storm we had here today. Nobody could ID that stink for sure but I likened it to 1/4 the Gulf of Mexico going rancid. Not sure how any stink like that could also affect Houston unless something totally bizarre is going on with the weather patterns in the Lone Star State.
