Well, I just placed my order for the book. Hope the profits keep the SwiftVet machine rolling for a few more minutes.

No wonder Kerry's campaign HQ is doing a good imitation of a bus full of screamers going over a cliff.

LOL!

"Funny, for the party of the rich, we don't seem to have billionaires..."

This is very true. But what we do have, and they do not, are patriotic Americans who donate whatever they can afford to the Swift Boat Vets. They are just ordinary Americans and their love for America will win versus Michael Moore, George Soros, Kerry, etc. who hate America.

They are beginning to expose the cracks in the left's big 30-year lie campaign about Vietnam.

Nice observation. I'm really grateful for FOX News and Papers like the Washington Times because they represent the leak in the dike.

I was there at the same time on the USS Clarion River LSMR 409 which was a flat bottom ship with rocket launchers. We could fire 240 rounds a minute---most powerful ship I was ever on and that includes a battleship and 2 carriers.
The swifties used to come out as we were close in and we would give them ice cream and whatever else they wanted.
Sure hope I never gave Kerry anything.

"Thank you, sir, for giving me a free country to grow up in. I, and my family, are forever in your debt. Thank you."

Tragically Single said it so perfectly, I just want to say exactly the same thing...

Thank you. My brother was a 101st Army Ranger in VietNam. You all were never thanked enough...

The world IS a better place because you are in it, and because you and others sacraficed so much for this great country of ours.

Thank you.

I've been reading a number of good self-destruct descriptors on FR the past few days. That was one of the best.

the Swifty campaign has the potential to be much larger than just a Presidential election. They are beginning to expose the cracks in the left's big 30-year lie campaign about Vietnam. For the most part, the left has completely controlled what is said and even thought about Vietnam. They say the vets were the monsters Kerry said they were--just look at any Vietnam movie outside of The Green Berets and We Were Soldiers--and it has become conventional wisdom. It's time for the lie to end, and I hope these guys continue to have the resources to fight this fight even after Bush is hopefully carrying out his second term.

Here! Here! My thoughts and hopes exactly.

I think you mean most powerful per ton?

John F*ckin' never told the country he was an anti-war protester. Why does he act like he's ashamed of testimony he gave thirty-three years ago? It should be his finest moment - after all it was about a pointless war in Southeast Asia we had no business being involved in in the first place. Instead he reacts like its something you scoop up and hide in a brown paper bag. We're finally getting to know the real Kerry and the real Kerry has no core beliefs --- not even about the signature event that made him famous and launched his subsequent career.

All right conq. I don't recall you ship in our op area, An Thoi, it was a little shallow there even for a flat bottom ship.

I sure do remember bumming ice cream off of anything that floated. Our crew was transferred to Cam Rahn Bay and there were a lot of supply ships going in and out of the port and we were always bumming ice cream. When we were on patrol, it was mostly C-rats.

Best to you, and I suspect you didn't give Kethup Boy Kerry anything...remember, he was in Cambodia and was very busy tramping around the jungle in front of his home movie camera.

Cheers from Argentina

I mentioned on another thread that I often contribute $$ to various conservative organizations, but have never felt that many of these groups are really very effective.

Not so with SwiftVets, I'm convinced this group is really having an enormous effect on this election. The Kerry camp is obviously having trouble dealing with this.

Money donated to this group may sink the idiot Kerry.

The swifties are far more effective than the Bush camp so far.

That's why I've sent money to the Swifties, and not one cent to the Bush campaign.

I really do not know what the figures would be, however I was on all of those ships and, as a Fire Control Technician, was personally involved in the firing of the guns and rockets. I am quite sure the LSMR would most powerful per ton and capable of dropping more firepower on a given target in 20 minutes than any other vessel. Of course, this assessment excludes nukes.
Thanks for posting the pic.
