Matthews was obscene. He wouldn't let her answer a question. Finally, he said we won't have any idiotic talk on my show or something to that effect. He did the same thing to O'Neil last week.

I don't think he served, but he was certainly old enough to, having been a speechwriter for Jimmy Carter in the late 70s.
If he was born about 1950, why the heck didn't he go to Vietnam -- like John Kerry, his hero?

Rush just played the ad. I had viewed it twice already but still got goosebumps just listening to it on the radio.

BTW, David Corn on Fox this morning to try to spin the new ad: Kerry was giving secondhand information and basically wasn't tesitifying to the truth of the matter. Now, I see a teeny problem with this tack. Also that opens up the question of why what Kerry had to say was deemed worthy of a Senate Committee hearing.
Clearly the point of the ad was the indisputable FACT that John Kerry did indeed claim these atrocities were being perpetrated by our troops and sanctioned at the highest levels.
Also Major Garrett reported this morning that one of the POWs in the ad was a McCain supporter in 2000 (visible supporter and of course this destroys the argument Eleanor Clift and others have been mouthing about the Swift Vets being the "same group" that went after McCain back during 2000). Also this POW in the ad was a supporter of dem Mark Warner when he ran.

Now, it's not like I've not heard this before...I've heard the Flurch Munster's rantings for a while now. But for me, the sun has risen and fallen with this campaign. For most Americans, though, I'm sure this is not the case.
What's Kerry going to say now, that he didn't say what he said? That he was "misquoted"?
