The reality is that Kerry's book focuses on global crime networks as the threat of the future - not terrorism. The New Republic said Kerry's book "missed the mark." After being criticized for citing the book in its New Mexico test ad, the Kerry campaign released the same ad nationwide, with the section on his book removed.Bwaahaaahaaa Kerry is good at revising things isnt he?

Hi, I'm John Kerry. I believe American Intelligence needs to be cut. Americans are just not dumb enough. How can we operate in a global community if we are smarter than the French. You can bet if I'm elected President, together, we can bring America into the 21st century.

Bottom line, Kerry will never have to run on his record, the MSM will not require he do so, it's' up to us to force the issue.

Kerry's campaign has been falsely claiming that John Kerry was formerly Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee since at least 1/29/04. To wit:
"Kerry is an Experienced Leader in the Intelligence Field John Kerry served on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is the former Vice Chairman of the Committee."
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/news/2004/01/mil-040129-kerry.htm
The blunder/lie was repeated by Kerry spokesperson Stephanie Cutter on 3/2/04"
"John Kerry served on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for 6 years and is the former Vice Chairman of the Committee. Kerry joined the Committee in early 1993 and served until early 2001."

I'm surprised that they don't have a reference to Kerry's claim to be Vice Chair of the Intelligence Committee when it was Bob Kerrey that was the Vice Chair, not John Kerry.

I sense the political landscape starting to shift. Until now, the Kerry campaign has been aggressive about answering all Bush criticisms right away. But the issue of Kerry's poor attendance record at intelligence hearings seems to have caught them flat-footed. The campaign seemed unsure how to respond at first.
I'm pretty sure the Kerry campaign has said that they're not going to release his attendance records for closed door meetings. Of course that won't fly and he'll eventually have to acquiesce. There's no way he's going to be able to nuance himself out of this one. And the record speaks for itself.
Moreover, he was hurt on the Cambodia issue. And I have a feeling that the reluctance of the mainstream press to investigate the Swifties claims is going to catch up with them. Their eagerness to investigate Bush's Guard service stands in stark contrast to their indifference on Kerry's Vietnam record. The public will not give Kerry the benefit of the doubt in my opinion, so the press will be forced to look into it, if only to exonerate him.
And by the way, have you noticed that very time a Bush criticism of Kerry gets any traction, John Edwards is dispatched to talk about the shrapnel in Kerry's leg? Since he has shrapnel in his leg, I guess, it would be unfair to criticize his record? Whatever.
The point is, I'm feeling better every day about 11/2.
P.S. Can you imagine Bush 41, McCain, or Dole using their service in such a cheap way? I can't.

No he wasn't; unless you spend time right here or watch a bit of FOX news, you'd never hear a whisper about this.

Can you imagine Bush 41, McCain, or Dole using their service in such a cheap way? I can't.They wouldn't have to: they have real records of accomplishment after their tours of duty, and can stand on those. Just as President Bush can run on his record of political service.
Kerry doesn't have such a record, as made plain by they pains he and his campaign take to downplay what little there is of it.

...the year after the first bombing of the World Trade Center. Can't stress that incident enough. Those terrorists didn't attempt to kill a few people and mess up a parking garage. That we didn't follow up on that event as if the terrorists succeeded at their objective indicts Kerry and this, if spelled out, can be made crystal clear to everyone.
