I wouldn't take too much credence in the talk that McGreevey is bi-sexual, even if he did have a child by his recent wife and one by his former wife.
Rumor around Trenton was that he kept a turkey baster in his bedside drawer. (psyche)
ROTFL
McGreevy's behavior as disgusting as it was, is not what disgusted me the most. It was the media reaction to the initial press conference that got me. I watched the locals in NYC on Thursday, and they were falling over themselves in praise of McGreevy's courage for coming out of the closet. And still today on the national scene, I was surfing through Meet the Press and Chris Mathews and on one of these shows only some journalist named Roger Simon was prepared to rip McGreevy. We live in a society with all kinds of entitlements being claimed by some pretty unworthy groups, but the media entitlement given to homosexuals may take the cake. If Bob Packwood would have been a queer, he might still be in office.
No, he's a scandal-ridden, homosexual governor. (Rim shot.)
his approval rating in NJ reportedly wnt UP two points since he "outed" himself.
Now, my question is, how can a man who has TWO children and two marriages to women be considered GAY? Isn't he at least bi?
Thanks for the ping.
Liberals can turn a cesspool into a bed of roses, given enough words and public ignorance. This guy takes the cesspool-roses prize.
Just poking a little fun at those who get a bit full of themselves. Want to see an offensive gay stereotype, watch a gay pride parade. Why do NY Times reporters find Abu Ghrab such a compelling scandal? It's nothing they haven't experienced in the back room of a leather bar in Manhattan.
That's identity politics at work. In other words, "card-carrying" this or that has more to do with political movements and definitions than with science or human relations.
Now, my question is, how can a man who has TWO children and two marriages to women be considered GAY? Isn't he at least bi?
Certainly, McGreevy is different from, say, Barney Frank. He's defining himself as gay to to paint himself as a victim and to get out of the consequences of his actions. But a lot of people who define themselves as gay or straight are bisexual. It's a tough call, but if you find out that someone's ruling passions are homosexual in orientation, does that make that person gay? If McGreevey "finds out" at some point that he really prefers sex with men, isn't he homosexual?
Granted, I wouldn't take McGreevey's word for anything. He probably is bi more than anything else (the irony is that if he is truly "gay" it makes his marriage more of a lie than if he were strongly attracted to both sexes). But it looks like some gays are holding the others up to too strict a standard by demanding that they be incapable of functioning with the opposite sex. It's ironic that the gay movement wants to overturn the standards of straight society only to impose its own rigid definitions on people. And it's not true to history. Oscar Wilde and Andre Gide, for example, had wives and children, and have become the great icons of gay movements.
"Six Feet Under" on HBO will take a [fictional] look at this question tonight, so those who aren't boycotting or disgusted might take a look.
First their was the draft dodging sexual predator.
Second we have the Viet Nam War Criminal.
Third we have the "Gay American".
Omigosh where does that leave Edwards?
Think I will hold my pity for a while. Forget the Gay American - there is other stuff coming and she may be in it up to her smiling blonde derriere. To be female gives her no pass - she was very pro-active in a lot of things....maybe some shady, maybe not.
My guess it is Nicholas Stix. How else would he have known?

Sure thing.
The game can be awfully easy, when you know that the press will act as your own PR machine.
Daniel Patrick Moynihan called it, "Defining Deviancy Down."
Agreed. That's why I added that apology. ;-)
bttt
Thanks for the ping!
Some days I like Vanilla; some days I like Chocolate.
Just EWWWWWWWW!!!!!
Speaking of "defining deviancy down" : I'm reminded of a defining moment in the 80's when Barney Franks was the guest speaker for a DC AIDs fundraiser right after his scandal. He was introduced with a gospel paraphrase - "Let he who hasn't MADE A MISTAKE throw the first stone."
As if shacking up with a call boy, and allowing a boy-brothel to run out of your basement is the same as making a typo!
