For the truth is, McGreevey was not carrying a deep, dark secret. I know next to nothing about the New Jersey political scene, and yet I had already known about McGreevey’s affair with Golan Cipel for almost two years. On November 3, 2002, “FReeper” (habitué of the conservative Web site, Free Republic) “deepthroatnnj ” posted “NJ Gov. McGreevey’s scandal coming out.”
“ NJ has within its borders a scandal which makes the Clinton/Lewinsky matter a walk in the park. The press has danced around the real issue. It will be revealed that what has occured [sic] in the Garden State is a scandal of the greatest importance. It will lead to the resignation of its current Governor James McGreevey due to his abuse of office and the NJ tax payers to prop up Golan Cipel. The nature of their real relationship is on the verge of breaking into the spotlight. This will be earth shattering.”

Very interesting.... Deepthroatnj signed up on 11/03/02, posted twice - @ 4:25 and @ 4:34 CST - both posts alluding to McGreevey's corruption. Then, no other posts.
It looks to me like this unknown person wanted FR to run with the ball, but we seem to have dropped it. I'd LOVE to know who deepthroatnj really is....

Take a look at Delaware's lone Congressman, who served 2 terms as governor prior to that, was Lt. Gov. prior to that, ans served in both chambers of the Legislature.
Delaware's got Jersey beat on this.
McGreevey is not a scandal-ridden, homosexual congressman. He's a crook who happens to be a homosexual.
I live in NJ. Yesterday, I saw a commercial promoting New Jersey as a tourist destination. It's one that I've seen a number of times before, but is now totally inappropriate. The commercial features Mc Greevy, his wife, and his young daughter (riding on McGreevey's shoulders) on a beach at the Jersey shore. McGreevy talks about what a great place New Jersey is for a family vacation. I couldn't believe they are continuing to run this ad portraying McGreevy as a "family man" walking along the beach with his wife and kid. These people have no shame.
Let's see, gays are a minority, so we can oppress them using the same reason McGreedy gave to make it OK to opress the rich, THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THERE ARE OF THEM. That is one of the main rationales behind, ops, poor choice of words, that is one of the reasons McGreedy gave. And "oppress" is not too strong a word to use to describe it. When you get down to it, it IS their money, not somebody else's. What McGreedy did to the rich is what some people do to gays, demonize them. That way, you can justify being unfair to them.
It's all the more hypocritical that McGreedy use "gay" as a shield. Substitute "gay" for "rich" and his attitude towards them would be called "homophobic".
BTW, McGreedy isn't "gay" unless he's never had sex with either wife and the kids send a birthday card to a turkey baster. He's probably "bisexual", or as I like to call it "Part-Time Gay". You know only half the bisexuals march in the Gay Pride Parade...
