Perhaps McGreevey assumed that because Cipel is Israeli, he knows a lot about fighting terrorism. In fact, the 33-year-old had worked only in public relations. Those press releases will protect us! Isn't that essentially Kerry's terrorism plan? I'm series. All that "I can schmooze foreign leaders" crap? Public relations!

I'm a little shocked that the New York media hasn't spun McGreevy's coming out party as "courageous". I guess even the Slimes can't ignore how dirty McGreevey is.
This op-ed is absolutely correct. Now if we only can get Michael Goodwin to call for McGreevey's IMMEDIATE resignation....
To: kattracks
McGreevey, in fact, could have survived a mere admission of adulterous homosexuality, as long as his wife stands by her man. He would even be applauded and admired for his honesty in many quarters. He would have had to call it being bisexual, or something like that, to make it fly in lalaland. But now he has to bid wifey goodbye, even as he asks that she be nice about it. Remember the mantra goes: "once gay always gay"
To: kattracks
The gay thing is a smokescreen to garner sympathy from sappy liberals, but as this article says the corruption was rampant.
Mr. Goodwin gets to the heart of the matter, while homosexual activists try to gin up symapthy for a corrupt politician who makes veteran NJ political observers blush with embarassment.

"
Pretty much spot on."
With the noteable exception of the effective date of the criminal governors resignation.
They should force him out immediately!

Yep. He should leave if it's so grevious.

This is so not a gay thing. Finding out McGreevey came out almost made me want to go straight.
As a former resident of New Jersey, I can tell you there has to be more to the story than him giving his boyfriend du jour a cushy day job. Something else is going on, since this is something that he could have made disappear if he wanted to. It is the Great Swamp State. (Did I just say that?) NJ has a history of corruption, it seems to be the government hobby. Politicians on every level get away with all sorts of things.
I personally think McGreevey realized he wasn't up to the job and needed an out. That and he was up to something really bad that couldn't be covered up, even in that state.

What exactly Golan Cipel, the man reliably said to be at the heart of the case, did for his $110,000 remains a mystery...Monica Lewinskly is jealous. I don't think she got paid nearly that much for performing the same type of services in the White House.

I'm trying to imagine the coverage if he were a Republican. It would dominate news for months.

Try this one on: McGreevey: "I am compelled to resign because I just learned that my great grandmother was black, therefore I am black." Just doesn't work. Proving again, that we're born male or female, the rest is all about choice.
To: G.Mason
From what I gather his decision to resign in mid November allows the legislature to pick the next Governor, thus avoiding giving the peons in the state the chance to actually vote for one. Yeah those Democrats are all about "making every vote count".

McGreevey should be prosecuted and forced to pay back the taxpayers of New Jersey every single penny of his lover's salaries.
McGreevey should be removed from office - by force, if necessary - immediately. Impeach him, or whatever they can do to governors in Jersey.
And McGreevey should be sent to prison for his widespread corruption. He'll be able to get plenty of sex behind bars.

Correct!
That is why there needs to be a law suit or some legal action taken to boot the criminal, homosexual, McGreevey out.

"
This is so not a gay thing."
We need to get one thing straight. McGreevey is not a gay American.
McGreevey is a homosexual, who for years let his sexuality run his life, much to the detriment to the people of the State of New Jersey.
McGreevey is simply a homosexual version of a Clinton clone. Both men [?] through their inability to control their perversions, have infected many in our great land.
If anyone thinks "it's only about sex", they are deluded, and have been corrupted as much as those who spread this terrible disease upon us.
Homosexuality is a disease. A disease as debilitating as any cancer.
A prudent person avoids PCB's because they cause cancer. Homosexuals should be treated no different.
