When they start fining employers $5000 for hiring illegals then we will know they're getting serious. A $5000 fine won't discourage the average employer of illegals, but a lengthy jail sentence and forfeiture of the company will.

Immigration legislation passed in 1996 allows the immigration service to deport certain groups of illegal aliens without judicial oversight, but until now the agency only permitted officials at the nation's airports and seaports to do so. The new rule will apply to illegal aliens caught within 100 miles of the Mexican and Canadian borders who have spent 14 days or less within the United States All a person has to attest to is being here over 14 days, be hard to prove other wise.. and here they are in the land of "milk and honey" and my back yard...
The legislation you are speaking of is called and ER (Expedited Removal). The BP has never had the power of to ER anyone. The BP either sets the alien up for deportation or VR (Voluntary Removal). In the past, VR was only offered to Mexicans. Now it will be offered to OTM's.
Also, ER's are done at all ports of entry, not just the airports and seaports. And ER's can be done regardless of the length of illegal stay. The 14 day rule will apply to the VR and the illegal alien, not the BP has to prove they have been here more then 14 days.

We all know that if the W Administration, the INS and Congress were really serious about eliminating the illegal immigration problem in America they would pass and enforce one law.
Anyone who hires an illegal immigrant will be fined:
$10K First Offense
$50K Second Offense
$100K Third Offense & Five years incarceration
That would eliminate the illegal alien problem and within six months they would all go back to where they came from. And we wouldn't have to be concerned about "rounding them up!"
Anything short of fines to those who employ illegals is just BS.

Most likely, these new flights will be run by the U.S. Marshalls, since they run the current flights. Looks like they will be at a pretty deep discount, too.

Thanks for the info and on Brazil. You wouldn't believe how many Brazilians are jammed into Massachusetts. Many are legal and many are illegal. About 8 years ago an illegal Brazil killed someone on the highway and fled to Brazil.
The scum could not resist returning the land of golden opportunity, so he got arrested in Massachusetts 3 years later. I lost track of the case but pray he's serving a long stretch.
You and your colleagues try to do a great job but the bureaucratic and political impediments are crippling any efforts for interior enforcement and deportations. I heard the Asa Hutchinson interview on John and Ken show.

U.S. to Give Border Patrol New Powers to Deport Illegal Aliens That link is a much better NY Times version. Many more details!
IF they're less than 15 days in country, AND less than 100 miles from the border, AND not Mexican, Canadian, or subject to "persecution" if returned. There might be as many as two or three illegal aliens that qualify for deportation, maybe.

Because Jorge Delano Bush thinks he can win by screwing the Conservatives and replacing their support by Hispandering.
