If you can do it again for as long as you can, that would be great.
Nevermind. I was reading old messages. Need to figure out how to make the messages read latest first, not latest last per page.

I just heard a report of something being 100 acres.....not sure if that was last nights, or the new one...probably last nights.

redding fire online.... oh well, for our nocal friends.
Is that the 500-acre threatening homes in No. Cal.? KNBC just covered *that*.
Could you pleas post the links to the scanner sites you use for the So Cal area. I am especially interested in the Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear area.
Thanks
19:30 New start on the northeast side of Big Bear Lake
106 today in Sacramento. I don't what it was in Redding- further north by Lake Shasta. Large fire burning homes and buildings there. They have the lake for a water source, but night time will ground helos. It usually is hotter in Redding than Sacto. I am in Grass Valley, and it was 102 here.
Cherokee fire is in Butte County- EAST of Chico. Rugged terrain.
Folks need to remember in November that Gov Davis closed the fire lookouts here in N Cal- I don't know how many are in So Cal, but they are very valuable here in N Cal because of long range they can see smoke. Most of the time they are manned by VOLUNTEERS who think the posts are too important to ignore. Davis shut them down anyway. I think they are the first line of defense for fighting the fires. Legislature in Sacramento DID NOT override the Davis decision.
