There are thousands of former inmates who are living in our midst, I imagine some of them got probation and never served jail time. You can search by your zip code and it is a real eye opener just how many crooks are walking the streets.
Likewise there are thousands of sex offenders living in neighborhoods with children. Insane! The state will only notify residents "if" the offender is a "predator" (repeat offender). The stats show that sex offenders have an average of 300 offenses but don't get caught for some if none of them.
And if this doesn't beat all, I decided to check whether Victorino should have been placed back in jail for the July arrest and found this...
(2)(a) The court, upon the probationer or offender being brought before it, shall advise him or her of such charge of violation and, if such charge is admitted to be true, may forthwith revoke, modify, or continue the probation or community control or place the probationer into a community control program.
Florida Statutes 984.06 2a
So we now are faced with judges who are supposed to rule justly and instead let dangerous people free to commit more crimes. We need common sense on the bench!
This whole thing reads like a story from The Onion. Unbelieveable that it's true.
Thanks for that info. The judge's probation procedures are the crux of this whole thing.
I forgot about the Carly Bruscia murder. That judge, judge Greer in Pinellas, (Terri Schiavo) and now this judge are all ripe targets. All that's needed is some media attention.
Also, I noted that little interest has been shown so far about the victims, possibly because they were poor minority members?
A trivial observation: Hunter and his father had different names if the report is accurate. Perhaps an abusive father and the kid chose to use mother's name?
I'm in Jacksonville, and I've emailed the media countless times with the list of info (at my site on the tagline)regarding Judge Greer and Sen Jim King. They won't say a word about it. It especially aggravates me because this is King's district and none of his leftist liberal statements have graced the news in his district. So I took it upon myself to let people know, I send emails and printed some cards to hand out. Sadly knowledge is no cure for apathy. There are two petitions going (1 for impeaching Greer and 1 for booting King out of office) and they have so few sigs that it's pitiful. I thought about stopping them but feel like they need to be a reminder to me to keep on plugging. I am definitely going to do a page on the site specifically for judges in FL, there is a lot of garbage being allowed and it's got to stop. I'll bet it would be hard to find one person (if you just ask people when you're out and about) who would say these murderers in Deltona should be allowed to live. But we know that justice is a slow snail.
I don't see how we can continue to allow such oversights by our judges. Give me a break! Victorino- onprobation for battery, commits battery again, judge allows him back into the community. Justice is not justice in this case.
Any pictures of the victims? I'm just curious.
Many of you probably know of the Wichita killings of Dec. 2000. I can't let that case go because it has haunted me for so long. I can't help wondering why that case got ZERO national news when it happened but this FL case is a big story, as it should be.
Are you referring to the Carr brothers murder spree? That was a horror story. I read about it primarily here on FR. Apparently it was so horrible Court TV backed out of covering it.
Yes, the slaughter of 5, rape and carjacking of others. The 2 slimes sentenced do death but it will be many years before they get to the death chamber.
There is speculation Court TV did not show the trial because they did not want to air a trial about 2 black brothers who victimized only whites. CTV claims it was a scheduling conflict. Who knows. All I know is almost every mass murder gets some news coverage across the country but the Wichita case did not.
I lost my Grandma, Grampa and two uncles because of a Monopoly game.
It was tragic.
Years later, my nephew lost his life over a Pong game.
Shades of the Wonderland murders back in the '80's.
"The democrat voters of the future."
Yep!
When will this senseless violence end. Where did these guys get their bats? Why isn't there a 3/5 day waiting period on bats? Is there a sportshow loophole that must be closed?
