Moral of the story--Dont't Drink & Carry a Grenade.
I am sorry he lost 3 of his limbs, but I do not understand how he can allow himself to be paraded across the stage knowing the assumption of 99.9% of those watching was he lost his limbs in combat. The reality is he did it to himself, no where near combat.
Kerry was shamelessly using him. I am sure has been a tough ordeal for him (even if I don't care for him). It doesn't say much that Cleland allows himself to be part of the dog & pony show in that way. He must have no self respect.
BTW, when I was in high school a Veteran who had also lost 3 limb spoke to our church. He was considered one of those "baby killers" by those who ruled the emotions of the day. The crux of his message? After losing 3 limbs in a war he did not choose to fight in, his message to Kerry and Fonda was "This is America, Love it or Leave It." His name was Tommy Something (this was in North Atlanta).
The dems are afraid of people like him. This may snowball and more & more veterans will speak. "This is what we endured and this is how you made it worse. You had your say, it is OUR turn." Sooner or later everyone is held accountable. This just be the time Kerry and every other person comes face to face with the anger of those they betrayed.

They can't run on anything.
Their socialist agendas have failed every time they have been tried. And people are waking up to that more and more.
Their overall lack of support for National Security, Defense, and Intel. is not something that will fly now.
