General Franks can't possibly have a legitimate opinion about Kerry's Service, since he didn't serve on the same boat with him.
The Belgians are dangerous people, like the Swiss...Neutral my ar$$!
I can tell you that what was posted here lined up with reality as much as it could with the limited access to news from 135,000 or so American troops on missions across a country the size of California, based, as best as it can be on e-mail to families, blogs, briefings from the Generals, military news sites, but I know our facts were proven more reliable throughout the war - and far more trustworthy than the mainstream accounts.
There are many things that occured pre-911 that were not reported in the press, that convict our opposition, and their allies at the UN, and those charged with informing and educating our children.
For all the criticisms anyone could make in a complex war in the nuclear age, this administration understands this enemy.
Those who appeased this enemy support Kerry.
What are we fighting for, if it's simply to join the international growing majority of scoundrels who trade with and bow down to the enemy?
I'd rather stand with a few still willing to stand for what makes this country GOOD - faith, family, country - and Gen. Franks supporting the 'popular bullies' is very discouraging.

Oh, I agree with all of that. News here was MORE accurate than anywhere else, but the divergences between the news here and reality on the ground as seen from Franks' perspective is fascinating-- particularly with respect to the whole Turkey thing, the timing and location of insertion of Spec Ops, and a couple of other things.

If this is your impression of Franks' position and opinions, you REALLY need to read his book. He's one of the good guys.
They are, to this little American, opposing 'ideals.' Kerry and his press are not strong defenders - in word, deed or vote - of faith, family - America.
Tommy, I had planned to buy your new book, but now I'll let the Kerry supporters snap it up.
