I'd say it was worth it because we see now that Kerry won't defend himself against the most serious charges you could level against anyone. Charges that reach to the Soul. Charges that challenge his truthfullness about honor on the field of battle. Yet he personally refuses to defend himself and fight back. Instead he hires lawyers.

Al Hunt is the Wall Street Journal's Liberal In Residence. As for it being beyond the pale, why is President Bush's National Guard service worthy of an anal media exam but Kerry gets to skate over his four months in Vietnam. Hunt should be reminded it was Kerry who invited the public to go over his past when he mentioned his Vietnam credentials a grand total of 11 Times at the Democratic Convention in July.
