"It was a terrible mistake probably for me to sign the affidavit with those words knowing how you scum in the liberal press would twist them."
I think Kerry's personal guilt and shame over what he did in Vietnam is what drove him to condemn the whole war as a political mistake by a big bully country that committed 'atrocities'. Putting the blame on America and the military in general makes Kerry a victim, and absolves him from the haunting memories of whatever he did, (or failed to do).
i realize that kerry has claimed that he committed war crimes, but i don't see how shooting a wounded enemy soldier in the back is a war crime.
i'm not saying he should have gotten a medal for it, but i don't think it was a war crime.
given that the times reported that repubs were "gloating", a fair and balanced article would have mentioned that the dems were having a "hissy fit" about the ad.
I'm not even going to read this because I'm so po'd at the media about how they're treating the Vets. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you and everyone else that my e-mail box has 5 e-mails from people who are forwarding the Vets' commercial to everyone in their e-mail address books. All of them have subject lines like this one: "Fwd: commercial - must listen to this one!"
Some of these people don't know how to blind cc, so I can sit here and read who the recipients are that are receiving and sending the emails. It's dozens and dozens of people! And each one of them are sending the humaneventsonline.com link out to ANOTHER dozens and dozens!
If any of you Vets are reading this, your message IS getting out. Some of the people sending me these emails are people I hardly even know!
