Great post, and thanks for putting me on your list. The evil that's infested the UN and Europe is mindboggling. Self serving, too, since they hope to avoid being blown up by Islamofascist whackos.

I don't see any useful purpose that UN serves now. People who believe that unelected bureaucracies of UN put there in part by unelected tyrannies somehow can produce something good should call me ASAP: I still have a few bridges available for sale.
The harm of it is real. Those who seek higher authority or independent arbiter for disputes are taken for a ride, because UN provides no higher morality and no independent judgment.
As a debating place or a convenient meeting place, it's fine. But can be as well located somewhere in Montreal or Zurich or wherever.
