Yup, the same way it did when he debated Gore and wiped the floor with him. Saturday Night Live was hilarious and should be again this time around.

Oh, right. I didn't see that, but saw pictures of it later. He was also wearing patches on that leather jacket that he hadn't earned.

>>> Whatever happened to Fred Grandy, anyway?

Now does a radio thing on WMAL in the DC metro area.

I'd like to see him move back home to Iowa and run for Governor.

And then the balloon debacle. Nobody could make this stuff up. Hilarious.

We are going to have some priceless moments in this election. I have been dreading it so long but maybe, just maybe, it might be like a real life SNL skit.

Is he really that stupid? Uh, yes. This is why he shoves people out of the way..."Do you know who I am!!!" He decides not to eat in Wendy's with the 'little people', but instead goes to a 5 star restaurant. And he keeps vacationing and cavorting about on equipment most voters can't afford. He's an idiot. Somebody on his staff has to tell him to reinvent himself while there's still time. But...nobody wants to be fired. So he'll hear only good news and hopeful portents and it will be a huge shock when even with stealing votes left and right, he loses in a landslide. I'm beginning to think Hillary has a fine hand in all of this. Maybe she sent the photographer down to NASA with orders to take lots and lots of pictures and make sure they get out on the internet fast.

" I would have to say it was the bunny suit"

His problem is not so much what he does, it is how weakly he attempts to explain away his gaffes.

It would have been simple enough to say that the senator was aware that it was an unflattering outfit, but he was necessary to be up to date on the space program, or whatever?

The Mayor of St. Paul, a democrat, has already come out and said he's voting for Bush. I suspect more democratic officeholders will do the same and soon. Kerry's campaign is terminal.

Another Dukakis "Jump The Shark" moment - He said he was a "card-carrying member of the ACLU."

And a much less known Jump the Shark moment was when Dukakis appeared in public while power walking. There is absolutely NO dorkier exercise that power walking. You walk while wildly swinging weights in both hands. The net effect is to make the power walker look like the ultimate nerd.

I totally agree! And I say that as a person who has been fitness walking 5+ miles a day for over a year now. But not POWER walking. I refuse to walk like a dork with my arms swinging like that. I just walk normally at a brisk pace.

Another Dukakis "jump the shark" moment was when he played catch in his Brookline front yard for the cameras with Ellis Burks - then (and now) a Red Sox player. There was Mike Dukakis tossing the ball back and forth with Burks in a shirt and tie! Nothing dorkier than that. I also remember a picture of Dukakis (years before the 1988 campaign) in shorts with black dress socks.

But John Kerry is taking dorkiness to new and unimagined heights. Mike Dukakis looks like Slim Shady or Snoopy Dogg next to him.

My Kerry "jump the shark" moment has to be that "John Kerry reporting for duty" salute before his DNC acceptance speech last week. It might not seem so now but just wait until the Bush ads start running with that salute while talking about all the times our "absentee senator" didn't show up for senate votes or committee hearings.

When Kerry gave that little salute and talked of "reporting for duty," Christmas came early for the Bush '04 advertising committee.

I mentioned the 'I'm keeping my economic plan secret until after the election' line to a woman at work this am....(who is basically brainless). Even this woman shrieked, "He can't do that!" And why? Because she shops at three or four stores to get the cheapest groceries or whatever she needs, she cuts out coupons, she scrimps and saves with two teenagers and a husband two cats and a dog to feed, and college looming on the horizon...she knows a massive tax hike when she hears it. She won't vote for Botoxboy and neither will anyone else who's working two or three jobs to keep a roof over their heads.

A combination of things swirling aroud the bowl is sinking Kerry:)

His wife, Kennedy, the NAACP, Moore, etc. are over-the-top.

Besides which, Edwards looks a lot like that hamster. No wonder all the inappropriate touchy feely gropy moments. The googoo eyed smirks.

The RATS know perfectly well that the convention was worse than a flop and that Kerry is in freefall with no net. They're drinking koolaid right about now, and somehow, they've got to presuade TerAYsa to open her pocketbook and fund her loser/dork husband for another couple of months. Several diehard RATs where I work are upset about Kerry's transparent attempt to hide the fact that he plans big tax hikes. They don't like the idea of a man who's mooched off of rich women all his life sticking a hand in their wallet. They've already figured out that Kerry/Heinz and Edwards won't be paying those new taxes, but we will.

Ben Afflicted's movies are flops. He's box office poison and is desperately trying to revive a dead career by sucking up to RAT politicians. Not going to work.

Uh,we aren't going to be allowed to see his medical records...those pesky botox treatments, the teeny little face lift...nor will we see the dominatrix/bipolar/lunatic's tax records. Nor the long list of foreign leaders who want him to win, nor his (no doubt ), excellent economic plan with the billion dollar tax hikes for you and me but not for Edwards the hamsterlookalike and the Heinz/Kerry's. He practiced John F. Kennedy's signature for weeks before the primaries, fashioning his to look like JFK's. This man has nothing inside. He's an empty suit. The voters know it, the RATS know it. But Kerry says he doesn't pay attention to polls. That's the first lie of the day. No wait, the first lie was Dean on TV saying that there was no terrorist threat in NY or DC and that GW had made it all up as a political ploy.

He also calls her 'Lovie', and apparently 'Mama T' is acceptable, on occasion...when she's functioning as a shrink. She's probably had lots of experience having her head examined.
